That's a very lazy assumption especially if you've researched the job Weir is doing at Brighton and the reputation he is building. It also flies in the face of the reaction to Weir and Warberton's departure from the club where a vocal and sizeable minority were using terms like "rat" to describe them. The board may be keeping an eye on Weir's (and others) career but I don't think it's unfair to say that there are many options (if they look hard enough and beyond Weir) who could improve the operational and communication aspects of the club.

To far, way to far.... 😀

Also likes a scrap on the touchline rather than the usual "man-cuddle" and fist pump.

You have to have buyers for players and those buyers need to offer a market value fee. You can't sell them to Melchester Rovers for monopoly money. Imagine the uproar if he sold Kent nd Alfie for say £5M each after 55. Goldson ran his contract down then resigned and Alfie and Kent may do the same, maybe they'll leave on a free transfer. Players have the power, they don't need to accept a transfer and they don't need to sign an extension. What do you suggest we do? Keep them locked in The Louden listing to Marshals patter until they sign?

Agree and hope that the fans understand and support this and give the young players the backing even when the inevitably make mistakes.

Nicolas Raskin from Standard Liege been linked in a few papers today. -
I think Kent is in the same boat as Alfie. If Beale and his team can get Kent back to his best, he is someone I'd have my team every week. He looked at his best during 55 under SG when we played a fluid front three - the early signs are Beale will adopt the same style so I'd hope Kent will flourish in that system

On his game, Alfie is unplayable. If he had not been injured last season, we may have won the EL. He is our all-time top scorer in Europe. However, he can implode, he can look disinterested and he can look unfit. I'm 50/50 on Alfie - if Beale and his team to get Alfie back fit (and interested) he's an asset and it will be difficult to replace him.

Again not 1st team related but we have began discussions with Robbie Ure to extend his contract. -
Isn't football a brilliant game. Hollands saviour a player ridiculed for his goalscoring record at Burnley.

Is this what the younger generations call trolling?

Wow what a 2nd goal from Holland.
