MB said in his post-match press-conference that Devine played well especially 2nd half (same can be said for all players) but Devine's role in the squad this season is to push Tav as Patterson did - this benefits everyone and pushes both on and up a level. I can see Yilmaz been told the same (when he's fit) that his job is to push Borna. During close season Borna told the club he'd move on if it was beneficial to the club (getting a transfer fee) but was happy to stay. Regarding Devine and Yilmaz being more dynamic than Borna, and it's a matter of opinion, but can't say / see how that can be judged when they've both played so little (couple of games each). Whatever we've paid out for Yilmaz was a significant fee for a "project" player and only time will tell if it was money well spent.

I agree he is an average defender but your 1st point was how MB deployed his full-backs in more advanced areas. In my opinion Borna is ideal for that position. His deliveries are far more dangerous if he is in advanced areas. He is 30, but with age comes vast experience and a knowledge of the game and his position in the team. I have no issues with either Devine of Yilmaz but for me Borna is (well) ahead of them as 1st choice left back.

It find it funny how little so many of us believe in Borna. He is a Croatian international and World Cup semi-finalist. During the WC break I watched some old YouTube videos of our European runs under SG and Gio and forgot just how many goals Borna was involved in. Same when I watch the 55 season. There is no doubt Borna is a confidence player, but on his game his delivery is the best we have at our club.

Same could be said about Borna who we know can provide excellent service from the left-hand flank.

We'll be waiting a while - at least another 6 weeks but given our injury history, it'll probably be longer. I don't get the Yilmaz hype - granted he is a prospect but in the very little we've seen him in a Rangers jesery, he's not exactly set the heather alight. I'm not writing him off, far from it, I hope he turns into a player for us but it just seems he's the latest player who gets better and better the longer he is absent.

You may be correct, but the fitness levels we showed during the Europa League run and in the SC semi-final and final were top notch. Hopefully MB and his team to get the players back to those levels ASAP.

I liked the part of his recent interview when he said in the SG era he was the "bad guy" who was out "shouting" and "pushing" players during training. It appears (just reading between the lines) that MB believes the players have lost their edge and a little of their fitness this season (the players showed their fitness levels last season to be fair to Gio and his team). Like @Bill I have a lot of time for Gio and hoped that he would be a success and was willing things to turnaround for him. But they never and his leaving was inevitable. He served as a player and a manager. I wish him well and he is welcome back at Ibrox anytime. MB should profit from players coming back from injury which will make the squad stronger and add quality all over the pitch. Hopefully MB and his team to install togetherness and fitness into the squad and we all reap the rewards.

Bit early to say that in my humble opinion

Anything that costs the SFA money and causes them inconvenience gets my support.

It was only after watching the highlights that I noticed the ball through for the 2nd goal took a wicked deflection that directed it into Nisbetts path. However, as you say, it was avoidable and it was annoying given that it was right after we equalised The first goal, I'm unsure in McGregor could have came for the corner but no excusing the free header.

Not a criticism as I thought Devine had a good game and I rate him. I remember twice in 2nd half Kent slipped him in and if he had been more confident on his left, he could have got a shot away.

We'll bot be selling Ridvan, out for 12 weeks (6 weeks into the 12 weeks).

I thought Jack was OK - he gave away the ball a few times. Devine was very good but a few times we missed a natural left footed player when he got into good positions. Was hard ro pick MOTM but if pushed I'd have gone for Tillman. Does some amazing things with the football.

Most impressive part for me 2nd half was how high we pressed Hibs, they really struggled to get out their own half. Meant to turned the ball over in advanced areas.

Aged well - sometimes worth remembering the game lasts 90mins. Kamara and Tav both had decent games and Tillmans run for winning goal was reminiscent of Davie Cooper
