    1-0

Why do teams sit in against us yet open up against them?
  2. SG made the one change that was necessary. Bringing on Arfield was the right move at right time. No point in making changes for changes sake.

    Millwall

Like you, I cant recall us ever playing Millwall at Ibrox. I looked on the official site as there used to be a search facility for all games we've played, but can't find it on new website. Searched on here and other websites and can't find any reference to this game.
  4. SG stated that Alfie dropping beep was a tactical change to allow more space behind and worked especially at the goal. On reflection and looking at match stats it was a comfortable victory and certainly we can take more positives than negatives from the game.
  5. Let's remember it was the 1st game of the season and behind closed doors, overall a decent performance, and most importantly, 3 valuable points.
  6. Away Kit looked class today. Can't beat a plain, simple design.
  7. Balogun for me and showed his class. That's the benefit of signing players who's seasons have just finished - well up to speed. Worthy mentions to Kent for his goal and performance, Aribo who is best player in the team and maybe in the league and to rest of defence. Clean sheets are always welcome and cornerstone of successful teams.
  8. Leon Balogun stats from today ; 90 minutes played Clean sheet 100% ground duels won (3) 100% aerials won (6) 3 clearances 1 tackle completed 1 blocked shot 4 successful long balls 1 chance created 2 fouls won
  9. Great interview with the gaffer!
  10. Great 3 points, and the Balogun looks a player and a great find. 1st choice CH in my opinion.
  11. Abergreen reverting to type
  12. Certainly the longer it stays at 1-0 the more nevervous it becomes!
  13. Need to start playing our game again, getting dragged down to a kick and rush game / scrappy game which suits Aberdeen.
  14. Decent 1st half, started really well and scored a decent goal.
  15. Now on Castore website
  16. As I get older, I get more pessimistic and this season is no different. The absence of fans *may* have an impact on results, but we'll see. There is no doubting the quality of the team as shown in Europe and domestically until the shutdown. Need to keep our best 11 fit and firing on all cylinders and hope we can be more consistent. My heart says it's our year, my head says otherwise.
  17. Won't be signing Cosgrove any time soon https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/5868411/aberdeen-cosgrove-four-months-knee-injury/
  18. Replacement for Nathan Young Combes who looks likely to be joining West Ham?
  19. "Motherwell" fan Sean from Maryhill is apparently a friend of Mr Burrows and a founding member of Lads and Lassies against Racism.
  20. I would hardly say the players we are being linked with are "unknowns". Anyway, Alfredo was hardly a household name when we signed him......
  21. Croatia media claiming Mirko Maric is on way to Glasgow for talks. "A raving loon of a DUFC fan" on Twitter suggesting Shankland is at Training Centre ahead of a £2M move. Note - referred to as loon due to his description of Rangers ? Ah, missed transfer window madness.
  22. Hearts / Thistle statement below -Looks like they've thrown the towel in? Response to Scottish FA Article 99 Arbitration: Determination – 27.07.20Arbitral Tribunal:“The tribunal appointed in terms of Scottish Football Association Article 99 issued its decision today. It unanimously held that the challenges to the Written Resolution of 15 April 2020 failed, and that the SPFL were entitled to pass, and give effect to, the Written Resolution and all that flowed from it. Accordingly it refused to grant any of the orders sought by Heart of Midlothian FC and Partick Thistle FC and continued the arbitration for submissions about expenses.”Joint Statement by Heart of Midlothian FC and Partick Thistle FC:“As all Parties have been requested not to comment on the tribunal’s decision or reveal details of the hearings on the grounds of confidentiality, all we can only say is how disappointed and surprised we are at the outcome. “We don’t regret taking this action as it was the right thing for us to do. There were better ways to deal with ending the season, fairer ways other than putting the burden of a pandemic on to three clubs.”
