Knew how to take a penalty, god help keepers who stood in the way of them. Was from a golden age when kids could look up to players and their behaviour,RIP.

Would not mind Ole for the player he was in his day but not sure about manager.

Got the win we deserved tonight. Regards officials did anyone notice in the first half that the Saints centre forward stood in an off-side position as all their kick-outs were taken then ran back to challenge for ball and never flagged off once for it.Each time he was the first to challenge so in my view coming to challenge should have seen him offside.

It is an emotive subject but the footballers suffering from it at a reasonably early age might provide a basis for believing heading could be to blame. But if you look at the age of McNeill it being highlighted as a possible cause it is less plausible. Why?, my wife's Aunt who was a similar age never headed a football in her life suffered from the condition years ago before her death.John Greig who is a similar age does not appear to have it and no doubt headed many a football in his life. With regards to heading a football politicians will have to ban boxing, rugby and many other contact sports which either involve heading a ball or receiving a punch and getting whiplash through contact which can result in concussion.

Like watching our games possession 90%,,corners a plenty shots blocked all over the box, all out defense, need I go on.

I'm still a glass half full person but the bubbles are starting to fade, nevertheless will still be there on Wednesday for what I think will be a turning point. team needs a re-jig Hodson to right back,Hill back in defense with Kiernan,Tavernier to mid-field with Holt and Hyndman,Miller up front with Garner and McKay.

Ah well he might be re-united with Zalelam. -
While angry at the thug getting off with it because of nobody brave enough to dob him.her in it is indicative of thugs/hooligans getting away with things at football. In this I include the letting off of flares/smoke bombs which could result in serious burns, injury, breathing difficulty etc. I personally if seeing this happen would have no hesitation of pointing out the perpetrators.

A coach and a manager both require differing disciplines in their respective positions and to combine the two an extra special person with the correct mentality. To be fair to Murty he has admitted to his shortcomings and if the Board want to be seen as responsible employers should be sorting this out asap and allow him to get back to his normal duty.

Maybe a good plumber has been used to stop the "leaks"

Could be but holding them in London seems a bit more private than in the Glasgow goldfish bowl.

Hi Guys, we are going through "doomsday scenario"just now ,so let's have a little fun. Let's have your views on,pre journey days, players who pushed above their weights or seemed undroppable. My selections at left back Stuart Munro/Sasa Papac both who held on to the position. Unbelievable pick each week Namouchi!!!!!!!!!!?????????????

Agreed guys but if you have watched the Gers since the early sixties it is painful at the moment regarding class players but hopefully we will celebrate again before some of us go to the big stadium in the sky.

I am sorry to say that having thought Warburton was our saviour ,admittedly he got us into SPL,but with his tunnel vision on tactics very quickly let us down. Now we are left with his legacy of signings. Hopefully some of them will step up to the plate under a new manager but IMO many will have to go. -
Steve & Boabie I too was tempted to put that team but chose to go through the years with my selection. Had the pleasure of speaking to "Wee Willie" at Davy Cooper's memorial night in Thornton Suite and like me he rhymed off the team. There are so many combinations but can only say that no matter what it has been a pleasure to have seen most of them play, but still my hero was Slim Jim although it was sad to see only a shadow of him when he came back. Memories are made of this according to the song:rfc:

Watching EFL Cup final today Southampton to me had a perfectly good goal chalked off so it could have been of use there.

Age thing yes but taking it from 1960's when I went to my first game:- Klos,Jardine,Numan,Greig(captain)T.Forsyth,Butcher,Baxter,Henderson,Mols,McCoist,Laudrop. None of today's team would even get a mention in my 4th/5th teams.

Barry, although wholeheartedly is one of us,is still an apprentice but with the right manager in place could be an ideal assistant providing we do not get a DoF.

Interesting comments wonder what the scum press will write about tonight's game after yet another smoke bomb being set off after penalty scored.
