  1. Thanks for that.
  2. I agree he did a lot of tracking back, and it is possibly no coincidence that in all three pre-season games the right-back gave us the most problems. It is of course an attacker's role to score and assist, and that is where he fell short. How often did you see him breaking a gut to get in at the back post to score? Not often in my view.
  3. Genk were the better side over the two games but blew it because their defence is poor. The Genk striker Tolu would have been a handful for our defence, as he is a man mountain and dangerous at set pieces. He even scored in his own goal.😁Against Genk it would have been a slogging game, whereas this will be a more patience and build-up game.
  4. Let's hope, Danilo's contract has a Santa Clause.😁
  5. Unfortunately, he is surrounded by Celtic placed men and will never be able to change things that Peter doesn't want. As others have said, it is a yearly swap with a Celtic representative.
  6. Yfeko looked good for the first few minutes he came on, but then made a few poor decisions and thus mistakes. Not stopping the cross for the goal was a lethal mistake and one of the basics of football. You have to stop crosses at source. He is young and will learn. Not ready for the first team yet, but maybe unfair to judge on the few minutes he was on. Rice is going to be a massive player. Unfortunately, the modern trend is that he will be bought away before making an impact in the Rangers team. Let's hope that doesn't happen. Lowry showed that he deserves some more game time and was unlucky not to win us the game. Raskin was the jewel on the crown, though. What a player he is. John Souttar was the other stand out for me and one of the few I would say was up at Newcastle standard in the first half. Due to a stagnant midfield, he got pulled out of position at the first goal'The midfield at the goal was shocking standing in a straight line across the pitch, giving the Newcastle players about 4 metres room and totally open for the wall pass that ensued. Ryan Jack and John Lundstram should never be the mainstay of our midfield ever again. They are metres off the pace and that is not pre-season cobwebs, that is a few years of failure. Lundstram has had a good 6-month period in 4 years at Ibrox. Just my opinion, and no doubt others will think different.🙂
  7. We do get a fee for players who sign for other teams, but as Cammy says, I hoped up a good clear out and new ideas. We can still hope up Lowry and I think Rice has an excellent chance of the first team football if he is not pulled away from us first when he is 18.

    Bleep Test

You have more chance that a diesel will win a bleep test than a sprinter. A bleep test is not for people with a 15 yard pace explosion apart from helping with general fitness
  9. As an addition I have seen a lot of good from Ridvan, but I have also seen in the games he has played a poor lack of vision, where he has failed to see players in a far better position than he was to shoot on goal. Yesterday he broke through, and I think it was Matondo and Sakala(not sure) were in front of an empty goal. A simple natural pass for a left footer to the right with the inside of his left foot, would have meant a certain goal. He ballooned the ball high and wide. He did the same a few times last season in the games he played.
  10. Everyone has their price of course, so worth in money against worth on the park will have to be taken into consideration.
  11. I totally agree Cammy the end of his contract should be put in place immediately. If it means he has gardening leave, then so be it. That is better than him keeping his job for an indefinite length of time. Doncaster won't quit his luxury £400,000 job unless pushed. He has a blowtorch proof neck.
  12. After just bringing in all 6ft + players, it would be pretty crazy selling Borna at this time unless for good money. Even today, he had the cross for the first goal. Ridvan could have put Matondo plus another coming in at the back post(Sakala?) at the end of the highlights but ballooned it high and wide.
  13. Killie away.
  14. That is maybe called bluffing it.
  15. The boy Hill tonight for Hearts could take some Throw-in's. They must have been near 30 yards
  16. All sport is a base on ability and confidence. You can have the ability but if you don't have the confidence to promote your ability then you're axed.
  17. To be fair, he only got 2 games where he got some minutes for Lech Poznan
  18. Thanks, Frankie. Apart from the old age aches and pains, I am fine. I have always loved the Gersnet and looked in as guest. I just felt I needed a break. It was longer than I thought.
  19. 5 mill for the diving on the spot, Vasilis Barkas . He seems to be doing well at Utrecht and the fans love him. Utrecht want to buy him, but are afraid the tims are wanting 10-15 million for him. They are not willing to pay that.
  20. The trainers see him every day in training. He obviously hasn't impressed them on the training field.
  21. The question is why is Lundstram now all of a sudden in form and not looking like he is towing a caravan. Also why is he now playing in a more advanced role and not getting a 5 yard pass Davies and making a 10 yard pass to Goldson. I am happy he has hit form as he will be hopefully easier to sell. In the years that he has been at Ibrox he has had about 6 good months. One of the ones that should be sold for a bigger budget.
  22. Commanding the six yard box is becoming more difficult as teams are now coaching blocking methods. In the old days, it was players of the same height and let them fight for it. Punching is not always the answer, as Marshall found out yesterday at Tav's free-kick. If he had his hand open, then I think he would have saved the ball. Which he should have. While their goal was due to a teenager switching off and letting his man get the drop on him, it is one thing that Alfredo was excellent at was clearing the ball from that area. A keeper coming for a ball breeds confidence in the defence, especially when we are pushing so far up the park. McCrorie has been excellent in that sort of sweeper role.
  23. As someone who played keeper with not a lot of height, I always tried to get my fingers to a corner or cross. My reasoning was that a striker/airforce couldn't get their head to the ball, and we could fight for the second ball. I preferred McCrorie having a couple of flappers that were cleared, rather than a McGregor stuck to his line. I am not sure if McCrorie is good enough for our first keeper, but I prefer a keeper that comes for a ball.
  24. Not poor planning. It was spread by the SLO and other sources that if you were near the away supporters entrance that you had to turn up early. The club cannot write to everyone separately. I live in Germany and I knew there was a problem at that end. Life is what it is and Information is given over social media.
  25. I agree but hopefully Barisic will be back as I don't think they would of scored if Barisic was playing. The first especially, Flanagan was hopeless.
