I have just listened to Gert-Jan Verbeek the ex-Feynoord and now VfL Bochum manager and he said signing a player in January who is not match fit due to having no club or not getting game time by his last club will struggle to get match fit before the end of the season. He said you can't sit on the bench for 5\6 months and expect to catch up with players who have been playing week in and week out. The intensity of 11/2 hours training is nothing like the intensity of playing 90 minutes every week. I am thinking about Toral in this position. I suppose if he has real footballing class he may be able to cover some up by his technical ability in Scotland.

I am frig'n pissed off with this. McHugh kicked us off the park last week in the cup game. He had about 5 tackles that should have had him booked if not sent off before he was finally yellow carded. Today he played the dying Swan and then got up and jogged away. O'Halloran was just unlucky and not the half of the dirty biscuit McHugh is.

Firstly let me say that a red was deserved but I will back up DB and MOH and say he was very unlucky. I don't think it was as purple red as some are saying and another ref may have let it go. I think MOH actually tried to flick the ball with his toe when it was in the air but it ran away from him. I don't believe for a second that he was coming in with studs showing it is just the way his foot ended after missing the flick on. if you ask me then Kiernen's was far more worthy of red and we dodged a bullet with that one.

A lot of games are also on Ziggo in Holland although I am not sure if they are online. Even if they are they will be land orientated which even I can't get because I have a German provider. I don't really know why a Sunday at 3pm should reduce the crowd. A SC game against Morton will never get a capacity crowd even on a Saturday at 3pm. I would not think more than 30.000 will come anyway or +\- that number no matter when it is held.
