  1. 20 million won't be 20 million as King and Park have said they are taking their cash or shares out first so the 20 million will be about 12 million. If we need another soft loan to get us through this season that then will leave about 10 million. If you take that a decent player will probably cost 2-4 million with wages added on then you are talking about 3 players at the most. 20 million may be a start but to a club the size of Rangers it is like us pissing 20 quid against the pub toilet wall on a Saturday night. As Dell pointed out King now seems to be doing his sums with a fork. He is now making it look like he has invested 18 million and hoping that that number now sticks in our heads and becomes a fact. He is starting to talk more than act. I hate to say it but he is starting on the fifty shades of Green. The 30 million he has talked about should have been extra investment and not including the day to day running of the club as that is an on going cost and will never have a limit as it is hopefully timeless.
  2. I didn't understand the Toral \Hyndman substitution as the game was crying out for Toral in for Miller, Waghorn or Mckay and get more bodies in the midfield. Personally I would have taken Miller off as Waghorn was our most dangerous player.
  3. I take it Inter are still paying FdB's wages or have paid him for a large part of his contract, so I suppose he does not need the money. He didn't seem to need a break when he took over Inter and was only there for a few weeks. He is not the greatest manager in the world so we should move on to someone who wants the job.
  4. I don't understand the need to get a quick fix manager until the end of the season. If it is FdB then get him in place. If he does not want to take over now then he is not the man for the job. If we are waiting for someone in a job then that is a different story.
  5. Funny enough I was thinking during the game that if I was going to make a comedy cartoon about football, Senderos would be my main character.
  6. If McLeish gets the job I think I will hang up my scarf. It was just a coincidence that he is there though he is working for Sky. He did not want to say he would be interested but his body language said " I would bite there hand off if they offered me it."
  7. They are professionals they should just get on with the job.
  8. Only his brain died.
  9. Taking the Job now is perfect if you have the confidence to get that third Euro spot. You have the perfect time for evaluation and the only pressure you are now under is to get into Europe.
  10. I don't always agree with you but I am 100% behind you on this. Why the F are we even thinking about McLeish.
  11. Good reply!
  12. Ian you are not saying you are normal are you.
  13. I would say that everyone expected Warburton to be leaving for NF up until Thursday. Everyone was happy to let things run the coarse and Warburton would announce probably after the Morton game he was leaving. When the NF job fell through Warburton\agent tried to backtrack but the board had a meeting on Friday and took this chance to release him. I would say that is why he was still doing interviews on Friday. I see no false agenda in the board on this point.
  14. Was Warburton meeting the Forest representatives in London and not a future Rangers prospect?
  15. I agree that taking Ajax to the title 4 times may not be the do all and end all but I think we can forget his Inter time. He was taken to inter to change their football philosophy and make them more attacking. He was given virtually no time or leeway to do it and if I remember right he did not even have a pre-season to change things. He inherited virtually all ageing players who were not open to a change of system and he did not speak the language which caused even more communication problems. In this case it was "You can take horses to water but you can't make them drink." That apart the board who brought him in to change the whole philosophy of the club bowed to the players will, leaving it an unworkable situation. One thing is for sure he will make the best of the youth system if possible and he will continue with attacking football.
  16. I agree that is terrible and makes me quite ashamed really.
  17. yes Giovanni van Bronckhorst is going to leave a team who he supports, who are on their way to be Champions of the Netherlands, which will make him a local legend, which will throw up CL money plus the money from a sold out 50.000 stadium every week and also get 9million euros TV money to join a team who has no chance of CL money with the same support roughly and a pittance in TV money. Nah that is not going to happen
  18. To be honest that actually happened to a colleague of mine and he was welcomed back. He got an agreement that he could return within a month and did that. Later he had a fall out with the boss and they eventually gave him a payoff. Instead of being thankful he got his Job back he was rebellious to everything.
  19. I would start with the central defence and work from there.
  20. You don't know that until a new manager takes over. Look at what Brenda done to the tims with only 2 new signings.
  21. If the board have e-mails then i would say they are safe in what they are doing.
  22. God help us that there is any support for him. Surely we have more inspiration than Eck.
  23. No he has done all his work at youth level coaching and punditry.
  24. Frank de Boer only spent 6 months with us. His twin brother Ronald was with us for a number of years.
  25. No you can now be certain he is gone. At least he has always talked to TS so I take it they are not bull-shitting
