In modern football we now play with a defensive midfielder and the other forward thinking midfielders. They have to be almost as dangerous as the strikers. I am not sure there is still room at the top for someone who strolls about the midfield without causing sort of danger.

Totally agree. If it is with Arsenal or a top team is open to discussion. He will certainly need to improve a lot. Though with better players around him the diamond may be polished. Kante at Leicester City has set new standards for midfielder's in th EPL and I doubt Zelalem has those attributes.

Tannoch I think you should have taken a couple of happy pills and gone to bed. Dumbarton had 8 players glued in their 16 meter area. There was totally no room in front of goal. I remember a weak Rangers team doing the same to Barcelona and they could not break us down. This was a game of 19 players playing in the pitch length of 30 meters. Even as part-timers they can crowd out the players in the box. This was just a difficult game. Surprised you never stayed for the lap of honour.

I said during the match I don't rate Fotherinham very highly. I think he should have stopped the first 2 goals. He is weak with high balls and not a great shot stopper. In his favour is his football skills
