  1. Report: Rangers teenager Liam Burt snubbing Celtic for new Ibrox contract after Warburton conversation According to The Scottish Sun, Rangers teenager Liam Burt is set to snub a move Celtic in order to pen a new contract at Ibrox. When Rangers appointed manager Mark Wabrurton over the summer, it was clear that the Gers were hoping to bring through their own crop of young players, given Warburton's history in youth development. Players like Jordan Thompson, Ryan Hardie and Tom Walsh have been in and around the first team this season, and are tipped for big futures under Warburton. Another player who has been training with the first team at times this season is midfielder Liam Burt, with Warburton clearly having faith in the teenager. At just 16, Burt is another player tipped for big things in the coming years, but his contract expires at the end of the season, and there has been some concern that Rangers could lose the prospect. The Scottish Sun report that Rangers' fierce Old Firm rivals Celtic have made an approach to Burt, as they hope to tempt him in to a switch across Glasgow. However, it's stated that playmaker Burt has been persuaded to stay at Ibrox and sign a new contract by manager Warburton, who has told the youngster that Rangers is the best place to continue his development, rather than Celtic. It will now be interesting to see how Burt's career differs from that of Dylan McGeouch, the midfielder who left Rangers for Celtic in 2011, only to make little impact with the Bhoys and end up with Hibernian.
  2. I disagree with your statement not the ban. There is nothing more rousing as 50.000 people shouting Hello Hello!
  3. Why can't we go back to this version. Hello hello We are the Billy boys Hello hello you'll know us by our noise We follow Glasgow Rangers our hearts are strong an true We are the people that cheer the boys in blue. Sorry the original was. A goal, a goal, we're ready to acclaim A goal, a goal, to win another game We follow Glasgow Rangers, our hearts are strong and true We are the people, who cheer the boys in blue.
  4. I agree the ref had a shocker.
  5. I can't disagree in principle but I doubt he wants to do anything to take away the confidence boost of the win so I doubt if I would do that. Rather call him to my office and give him a rap across the fingers and then a wee cuddle and tell him to get his arse out on the training ground. I think Warburton is someone who will back his players through thick an thin,
  6. I can't watch it as it is only for GB but as I said yesterday it all depends what is in the Refs report. If he mentions the kick then it will be upheld, As it should be to be honest as he did kick out.
  7. Or this.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VdhvEaxidfc
  8. I hope he scores a few like this.
  9. http://www.soccerbase.com/players/player.sd?player_id=56261 Plays No.10 Seems to be a 10\11 goal a season player
  10. I don't get it either Craig. I guess some people are hard to please. We are not the Rangers of times gone by but we are working our way up and are beating the teams we have to beat. Messi and Ronaldo will never be in our price range.
  11. Not sure where i am bending your words. I just don't get it why supporters won't give Rangers credit for the game they played. Have we won 55 league titles because the other teams were shite?
  12. You can only play as good as you are allowed to play. The fact Hibs were dreadful was due to the hard work our team put in. Let's not pull our team down by saying Hibs were hopeless. Our players didn't allow them to play good. Give credit where it is due fgs.
  13. Our goals came mostly from Hibs breaking from defence. Other teams will keep 8 or 9 players behind the ball. In that context games may be harder.

    Only an excuse.

I am used to real 5% Grolsch to be fair not the watery 3.9\4.2 Scottish beer. 15 pints of Grolsch would be bordering on Alcohol poisoning.

    Only an excuse.

Wawh 15 pints. I would need a telly next to the urinal to watch it.
  16. I have no idea what Instagram is.
  17. I think you mean we need experienced prof players running the show. The Question is are Law and Sheils doing it any better when they get in
  18. The fact is the game has become too fast for one referee so we need to get the use of video replays in use. Football is one of the few sports that don't use it. I was hopeful with the fall of Blatter and his cronies we may have got it but with the betting community moving in to football the corruption is probably here to stay. I don't mean Collum is corrupt I do think the betting community is corrupt.
  19. Definitely a good player to have around and links up play well but as gary said above he really does have to add goals and danger to his game.
  20. Maybe he is scraping off the burnt pans.
  21. Wife of murdered ex-Rangers star Arnold Peralta reveals anguish in moving Christmas message to her slain husband 10:10, 27 Dec 2015 Updated 10:12, 27 Dec 2015 By Gerard Couzens VANESSA opened her heart on social media after Peralta's violent death earlier this month and said their four-month-old daughter Camila "is going to be so proud of the daddy God gave her". Facebook Arnold Peralta and wife Vanessa who posted a moving Facebook tribute to her slain husband THE wife of slain ex-Rangers star Arnold Peralta has spoken of her despair at having to spend Christmas without him. Vanessa Oliva, mum to their four-month-old daughter Camila, opened her heart on her Instagram account where she described the footballer as “the love of my life” after he was gunned down on December 10. She said in a post alongside a photo of her wrapping her arms round her husband and kissing him on the cheek: “I look at Heaven with tears in my eyes. “Who was going to imagine this day without you? “I miss you so much. Things will never be the same without you. “You left your mark and it will never be erased. We were so happy and we were going to spend Christmas in Honduras with family and with our baby daughter. “God Bless. Happy Christmas my love.” In another post hours earlier alongside a picture of the couple cuddling and kissing on a hotel sunbed, she wrote: “Don’t say goodbye, just see you soon, God decided that I’m better off in Heaven and I had to go to a place where I’m not going to suffer. “We miss you here my love. It’s more difficult being here without you, without your craziness and your laughter. “I remember the day of this photo as if it were yesterday, with our pina colada in that hotel lobby, that intense conversation we had when I managed to get you talking. “I remember we were in different rooms and you went to knock on my door pretending to be room service and I smothered you in kisses. “Although it was a work trip for you and not a holiday you always enjoyed them because you loved what you did. “That’s how I’m going to remember you always. Camila is going to be proud of the daddy God gave her and some day we’ll be reunited again. “You left a great hole that nobody is ever going to fill. You were a super special person until the last day of life that God gave you.” Police are still hunting Peralta’s killers , including the gunman who shot him dead at a shopping centre in the Honduran port city of La Ceiba as he bought Christmas presents with his wife and the accomplice who helped him escape on a motorbike. Detectives have already said the 26-year-old was murdered over personal problems but have declined to say what they were. Police chief Jorge Alberto Rodriguez Montoya hinted last week they were hunting a “mastermind” behind the shooting. He said: “We all know this crime occurred because of a personal problem but the police teams involved are working on solving this case. “There is technical and witness evidence to enable us to capture the individuals who committed this terrible crime. “These people are under surveillance. Obviously there was one gunman but there were two people involved in the attack and we are investigating whether there are others linked to this incident so they can be captured.” Honduras’ Justice Minister Julian Pacheco claimed in the run-up to Christmas the investigation into Arnold Peralta’s murder was “80 per cent advanced.” He said: “We have identified people who could have participated and in the next few hours there will be important developments in this case. “It’s a case we’re going to resolve within a few days.” Asked at a press conference what was behind the murder, he said: “I don’t want to reveal the reasons but we have very important leads that can lead us to the authors and then we will explain the reasons why this young man died in this criminal act.” Arnold played 25 times for Rangers between 2013 and 2015. The club announced in January that the defensive midfielder’s contract had been terminated by mutual consent. He returned to play for Honduran side Olimpia after an unsuccessful trial with FC Shakhter Karagandy of Kazakhstan. Five police teams have been working on catching Arnold's killers. They have been pouring over hours of CCTV footage taken from cameras inside the shopping centre car park as well as streets near the crime scene. Officers have also been sifting through the footballer's mobile phone for clues. Initial reports said detectives were focusing on two theories - a family dispute and and the theory he had refused to cooperate with criminals trying to extort money from him. Detectives subsequently confirmed local reports about a third line of inquiry based on the footballer's personal problems that “out of respect for his family” were not revealed.
  22. Featuring Mark Warburton. Only An Excuse, BBC1 Hogmanay, 11pm. I hope he has something original and not just respect and disrespect.
  23. He certainly has a lot of potential and I believe he will become a top player. As you say he really does have to become more dangerous.
  24. I guess it is a joke on Dave King as the Rand is the currency of South Africa.
