http://m.eveningtimes.co.uk/news/141...Sandy_Easdale/ TWO men have been cleared of making threatening remarks at the former Rangers director Sandy Easdale and his brother James. Barrie Donnelly, 38, and Mark Sweeten, 42, were accused of shouting, swearing and making abusive and threatening remarks at Sandy and James Easdale outside Ibrox Stadium. They went on trial yesterday at Glasgow Sheriff Court but were acquitted when the Crown withdrew the charge against them. It was alleged Donnelly, from Uddingston, South Lanarkshire and Sweeten, from Sandyhills, Glasgow behaved in a way that was likely or would be likely to incite public disorder. Former Rangers director Sandy Easdale, 47, told the court how he and his James brother and 14-year-old son went to the Rangers game on November 8, last year. The self-employed businessman claimed he was intimidated when three or four men shouted and swore at him as he got out a car on Edmiston Drive, to go into Ibrox Stadium - but couldn't say who they were. He said the men called on him by his name and told him "We can't get in to the match because of you". The former director told the court they aggressively said they were unhappy with the situation the club was in. Mr Easdale said he thought at first it was a ticket problem that he could remedy but quickly realised it wasn't. Procurator fiscal depute Stephen Ferguson asked: "What do you remember being said?" He replied: "Basically stuff like 'Why are you doing things to our club?', 'why did you not take Dave King's money?'." Mr Easdale told the court Mr King is the current chairman of Rangers but wasn't at the time of the incident. He claimed the men were "effing and blinding" but he walked away and into the stadium. After leading evidence from Mr Easdale and Linda McKean, a security guard on the day the fiscal said the Crown were not leading any more evidence or seeking a conviction.

He could have just caught it or at least let it bounce in front of him if he had just stretched his arms and opened his hands up. I have no idea why you would want to punch such a ball. -
Using DB's conclusion that if you are attached to a club you can't be a trialist I would imagine he is a free agent.

I wonder if Rab knows if Ashely had a relationship with Reid and the high heidyins at the HMRC before the company was made bankrupt. I feel the conspiracy growing. -

Whether Bell is underachieving with us or not he is a line keeper and won't fit into Warburton's strategy. Playing for Rangers does bring added pressures. I think it is pretty certain he will be leaving. I watched the highlights of Aberdeen v Hearts on Sunday and Neil Alexander was absolutely brilliant. I guess he just earned too much with us he was certainly better than Bell.. -

Luca Gasparotto was absolutely disastrous in the cup final against Celtic last season. Unless that was a one game slump then I agree he has no chance with us. -
Great banter. Love it, made me laugh.

McKay also takes some moves too far. A few times yesterday he had the chance to shoot and passed it square to a player with no shooting chance. He needs to try and have a crack at goal more often instead of walking the ball into the net.

I doubt that the RST can just give Rangers money they made from selling Rangers related merchandise. I would imagine Asheley's legal team would be on that like a ton of bricks. I am no legal expert though.

I doubt it will help in the short time but they can possibly give soft loans for shares.
