  1. Why would we want to sell airports?
  2. The Eredivisie have 560.000 subscriptions which they are reasonably happy with. We do have sport 1 here showing foreign football but that is gradually dying and I in fact only know people who watch it illegally I have nobody in my circle who have a subscription to it. Now that Sky have taken over I would guess that sport 1 will probably be taken over or wound up. The one big question for me is will Dutch people be willing to pay Sky prices to watch all the extra football. I certainly won't and I very much doubt if more than half of the 560.000 will be. I now pay 15 pound a month for eredivisie live and there is no way I will be paying 50 pound. Sky tried to get 1 gulder a month from every cable subscription about 30 years ago and failed because the Dutch don't like paying for things they don't watch. That is why they retreated to Britain Tele 7 which is roughly the same as Eredivisie live also tried the same route as Sky claiming 1 euro from all Cable subscriptions to get the same result the Dutch people in rebellion because the most people don't want to pay to watch football. As I said above I very much doubt if the Dutch public will pay much more than the present fee for more football and if Sky expect 50 euro subscriptions then they have got their sums completely wrong. The football could be an attempt to get Sky a foothold into Dutch television but again all the film channels are not very successful here and I don't see that many people paying the sort of subscriptions Sky are asking in Britain.
  3. It is the SFA he is going for not the SPL. He has his other three puppets running the SPL, , Neil Doncaster (SPL Chief Executive), Eric Riley (Celtic FC), Stephen Thompson (Dundee United FC). Duncan Fraser (Aberdeen FC) is probably a bit anti-Rangers as well so not much chance of a Rangers man getting a foot in the door, even if we were still in the SPL.
  4. I have no interest what is happening in the SPL. I do not know any result or have any interest in it. I won't be clicking any link that i think has anything to do with the SPL. I know I will be confronted with some facts now and again but it will not be by choice. I would hope all Rangers supporters will also not click on the SPL links so as there hits in the media will plummet.
  5. And the players should have a body paint strip on.
  6. Ah hA So Loudens has taken over the Stadium bar. That answers a lot of questions for me living abroad. Living in Holland a beer garden or front terrace is a normal part of a pub. All the best with your pub and hopefully I will be visiting in the near future. Is Loudens on Paisley road west(?) still open?
  7. Yes you are right but as has now been seen without Rangers SKY are not interested in Scottish football. We have a huge bargaining stick. We saw that if the TV money was not paid almost all SPL clubs would have went to the wall. I certainly would have played harder than Green did. The SFA\SPL cannot afford to let Rangers fall.
  8. I think everybody should start acting like normal people. All bigoted crap from all sides should be forgotten. Th SFA\SPL should stop their bigoted witch-hunt of Rangers and we should be in the top flight of Scottish football where we belong. If titles are stripped off of us we should refuse to let any TV company near our team. The next game of chicken has to be won.
  9. Yes but they also had hacked e-mails between Lawell and Regan that seemingly was just bullshit. Unfortunately.
  10. I bet if Dundee get relegated there will be a new setup to keep them in next season.
  11. I would like to think different but I have to agree totally with you.
  12. I believe there are bears searching through the dark shadows of hell.
  13. Funny enough a lot of those small shops round Ibrox probably earn most of their money on match days. They may not close without Rangers but their turnover will be a lot less.
  14. So the circle is round!
  15. Nah no use to us he only passes to players within 15 meters.
  16. It would be different. They could also wear a school cap.
  17. If they make a Rangers shirt like that I am going to top myself or Charlie Green.
  18. The accounts would be for last season but don't expect a 17% rebate if they have have a good season this year.
  19. I don't think they are blaming the fans they are just stating a point of fact. I am sure there are other companies who lose out if Rangers or Celtic for that matter get knocked out of the cups early
  20. Daily Record (Glasgow, Scotland); 11/13/1998 HUGH Birt's 25-year crusade has been to unmask perverts like Jim Torbett. Today, 12 years after he quit as chairman of Celtic Boys' Club over the sex abuse cover- up, Hugh is still angry. He is convinced that there are dozens of other Torbett victims suffering in silence. At his home in Bishopbriggs, near Glasgow, Hugh, 65, spoke of Torbett's "frightening" power over the youngsters. He said: "He could make dreams come true - or destroy them... ...Hugh was made chairman of Celtic Boys' Club after Celtic FC manager Jock Stein kicked out Torbett amid complaints of abuse. He said: "Jock said to me to keep its name clean."... ...As more parents complained to Hugh about sex abuse, he informed Celtic vice- chairman Kevin Kelly, on advice from Jock Stein. He said Kelly, who had just been given a plum job at Torbett's Trophy Centre, promised to investigate and the claims were reported to the Boys' Club committee. But minutes from that meeting have vanished. Hugh claims he finally quit after a row with Kelly over the abuse claims.
  21. Mr Kelly was on a TV programme recently with Chris Graham stating that Rangers should have titles taken away from us. I would love him to be before a judge speaking under oath.
  22. That is indeed possible if not probable as the whole team seemed to get deflated at once after we were 15, or so, points clear.
  23. I didn't think he was that good to be honest. Maybe he will prove me wrong. I thought he was not very good in one on one situations and players seemed to float past him.
  24. I had to bring this back up because I read it on holiday on my telephone and couldn't answer. While I do not think the chant does us any favours, I do think that, for the victims there should be an inquiry into whether there was a cover up at Parkhead. Whether that should be done by the football authorities or Strathclyde Police or both is open to discussion. I believe the Police should be the ones to do it with the football authorities taking measures on the Police information. It is a known fact that during an abuse, victims defend the perpetrator normally through a mix of shame and fear brought about through threats. Once they have escaped from the abuse situation they mostly do want the people involved brought to justice. Unfortunately it will probably take a complaint from a victim to get the Police involved and they will be in fear of their lives from the greatest supporters in the world, if they dared open their mouths. Whether the Police would accept a complaint from someone not involved is very questionable but a letter to the chief constable of Strathclyde Police and indeed Mr Regan and Mr Doncaster would be far better than it being passed off for tit for tat singing.
