  1. My point still remains that we have probably spent more on transfers than Celtic over the last years. Celtic have a bigger wage bill than us. All in all Rangers and Celtic will fight it out every year as they are both roughly in the same class and the rest will produce a winning performance now and again but it is very unlikely they will get near to winning the league. As I said I can't be bothered drudging through old posts so I will call it quits on what you exactly said.
  2. I was most disappointed with St Johnstone on Sunday obviously the new manager decided on sitting back instead of noising Celtic up as the last manager did. If you sit back against the tims they will grind you down but if you can noise them up and get at their defence then you have a chance. The 2 half's against Killie showed that.
  3. I don't know if I can remember Celtic spending anything like 20 mill but as I can see with Rangers this season we have brought in a number of players who simply don't get a game. Celtic have done the same over the last few years obviously buying a player needs a lot of vision and probably a certain amount of luck. I think your 1mill per year that Rangers has spent is way off target and that it is in fact far more. I can't be bothered dredging through old posts but you said at the time something like Celtic were crap and Rangers were playing much better and you could not see that changing any time soon.
  4. I only find it harsh on Kerkar and possibly Ortiz for the rest I agree with you.
  5. As I said in another post in Dortmund the control is very poor. The ticket control points are about 50-100 meters away from the stadium and easy to sneak past. In our group we had tickets for the other side of the stadium but all who wanted dodged the control and went to the standing area.
  6. I think you may find that Rangers have actually spent more than Celtic over the last few years as the Celtic board refused to spend. Sitting top of the league at this moment is not really a guarantee that we will win the league. I know your Logic had the league wound up in October but I am afraid my logic does obviously work differently from yours. I think 20 plus years of either Rangers or Celtic winning the league justifies my logic in that the team with the biggest budget will win the league. Obviously there are circumstances that sometimes change normal practices but I think you will find in every country in the world the teams with the biggest budgets are the most successful.

    New SPL rules

I have been in the standing area in Dortmund and everybody just piles in. Even people who have paid for a seat dodge into the standing area as the control is zero to nothing. Personally as I am not very tall and old( before someone else says it.) I prefer the sitting area. I do certainly think it makes a great difference to the atmosphere in the stadium.
  8. Agree it will be some sort of print but it is all too real to be a painting. Photography and photoshoping has become a work of art these days so I think Gav is right but that does not mean it is not going to be worth anything in the future.
  9. What has he actually done apart from beating Celtic? If we are totally honest with the budget Rangers have we should be well clear of all other teams apart from Celtic. Our performances have been absolutely atrocious apart from one good half against Celtic. We got fucked against a German amateur team ffs. I know pre-season is no judge. We got put out of Europe 10mill down the drain against teams we should have been walking over. He brought the team into training 3 weeks before probably the most important game of the season, to play a team who were already in mid-season. He said his tactic's were to give the other team the ball. He must have picked that one out of the Irish coaching manual. Against Barcelona you know they are going to have most of the ball but against Inverness:wtf: No sorry, but I am not too impressed up until now. If we keep playing as we now are, how long is that 4 point lead going to last. I still live in hope though.
  10. If you get 8 million for Boemsong who cost nothing and buy 2 players for 4 million does that mean the players you have bought have cost nothing?
  11. Certainly not a painting as image and picture are used in the text. If it was a painting then it would have stated painting I would imagine.
  12. Walter Smith had no Money is also a myth. I think you will find that Walter Smith had actually quite a large budget and compared to the rest of the SPL,Celtic apart, had a treasure chest instead of a budget. Davis 3+mil Lafferty 4mill? Jelavic 4mill Whittaker ?mill. In fact now that I think of it I don't even think Celtic have released as much money as us over the last few years. As I say Walter and no money is Bullshit. I am not sure and will open it for discussion but it is possible that McCoist has even spent more than Neil Lennon at the beginning of the season. As Craig Whyte pointed out there are managers and teams all over Europe punching above their weight. Rangers have the second biggest budget in Scotland far bigger than the other teams apart from Celtic. To play 8 defenders against a bottom of the league team and to state that we chose to give the other team the ball is not what I am looking for in a successful manager. You keep judging all other managers on PLG I will judge other managers on their own successes or failures. And just for the record I will repeat what I said at the time if Murray had supported PLG and sold Ferguson and his back stabbing cronies then we may have had a good manager in PLG.
  13. I am so wanting a parachute for xmas.
  14. Maybe cheaper to get rid of the manager and get one in who dares to play players that balance a team in attack and defence.
  15. Exactly that is why I don't want him back
  16. Age doesn't really count for me here. Miller has always been far fitter and almost twice as fast. Boyd has hardly scored since he left.
  17. Football supporters do turn with the tide. On Sunday the Ajax supporters were booing Miralem Sulejmani. When he scored a lovely goal just after, they were clapping him.
  18. Judging on how Alistair McCoist sets up the team Boyd would be a waste of space as we hardly get near the box. Jelavic would be better with Miller rather than Boyd so I go with Miller.
  19. Whittaker won't be dropped let's not kid ourselves.
  20. What did they say about the penalty decision?
  21. Aberdeen's penalty against Hibs was also very dubious yesterday.
  22. Both nearly 100 years the person who has the originals must be sitting on a few bob if he sells them. I am sure Frankie will want to put them in the archive on the main site. Thanks mate.
  23. Some people were wanting something like this.
  24. After watching a hour and a half of crap yesterday I have just watched one of the best football games I have watched for years. Feynoord-Twente. Feynoord were just fantastic in the first half closing Twente down as soon as they came near the half-way line. John Guidetti who is a 20 year old Swedish striker on loan from Man.City was and is absolutely brilliant for Feynoord. This guy is really worth watching. He works like a horse closing the central defenders down and is pure class when he is attacking. He scored a real hat-trick scoring 3 goals in one half to give Feynoord a 3-0 lead at half-time. Twente threw everything at Feynoord in the second-half and pretty quickly had the game back to 3-2. It was total end to end stuff for the last 30minutes with Twente throwing all caution to the wind in the hope of getting the equaliser. It ended 3-2 but I was sitting on the edge of my seat right up until the final whistle. Absolutely fantastic to watch and that is from someone who normally finds Dutch football boring.
  25. Disagree mate a strong chain can be made worthless by having one weak link.
