I totally agree with you but winning the league to collect 10million is also surely part of that big picture. I was one of Boyd's biggest critics but i do not see us winning the league without his goals. We played Russian Roulette by not strengthening against Kaunus. surely we will have learned from that mistake. I would rather he walked away in the summer for nothing than now for 1.5 million. Hopefully we will be 10million better off.

He had another disaster today. I want to see a good player in him but i am afraid i can't up until now. He should have been red carded for a despicable tackle on Robson(I think). As far as i could see he was marking McDonald when McDonald scored. Three of our players in front of goal and he tries to shoot from the right wing and slices the ball high into the crowd. I think you have hit a point there Norris. We have to look at why Boyd can't do it against Celtic and Miller and Nacho can. Surely the answer lies in speed and mobility. Milk can turn quicker than caldwell, McManus and Loovens.(Pronounced Low vens and not Loo vens,although the later sounds better) I said originally that i would put Lafferty up top in a 4-4-2 but together with Boyd that would be pretty stationary. Hopefully Nacho is fit and can play up top in a 4-4-2. I change my mind.

We have had the discussion on here before about predicting or saying bad things about Rangers. Some feel you should never predict against, or say anything bad about Rangers. What is the point in having a prediction thread if everyone is under all circumstances going to predict a Rangers win? Frankie can make a permanent template. Personally i feel if you always bury your head in the sand you can never improve things. That is why Scottish football is in the mess it is because we were until recently still using antique coaching methods. No one seemed to have the insight to change things, or they were bombed out by the people who had their heads in the sand. Most good things are built from people who can see all sides of the equation and not wearing coloured glasses. I am not saying DJ is always right, far from it, I know him from the past as i lived and worked in Renfrew. He crossed my path pretty often. He was a good bordering great player, but could have been so much better if he had had a better lifestyle. Judging on his size i doubt that it has changed much.
