    gazza

Okay lets forget it is Gazza. Your son joins a new football team and someone is coming to pick him up. You answer the door and the guy there stinks of drink. So you just ignore that fact and let your son walk away with him. Gazza is an alcoholic Walter can't control Gazza because his craving for a drink controls him. An alcoholic can't function without a drink. A real alcoholic gets out of bed and has to have a drink just to function. Walter would have to sleep with him to stop him drinking. another symptom is that they drink secretly. Often they have bottles hidden away so they can have a quick swig. Why do you think Gazza was thrown out of his management job after a number of days? I would imagine his craving for alcohol made him drink before going to work or while he was working. Gazza has to want to clean up his act himself. Not even Walter can help him. Here is an extract from Pamela Stephenson's(Billy Connely's wife) story in the Record today.
  3. Yes the issue will be, does Barry bend to fit Mendes or will he force Mendes to suit him. or could they possibly be a match in heaven. The only 4-4-2 scenario will be the diamond shape. 4-5-1 opens more options. -------------Mendes------------- Davis----------------------------Thomson -------------Fergie------------- -----striker----------------striker----
  4. I totally agree on Fergie, but knowing Walter, he will probably walk back into the team. If Fergie could do with Mendes like he did with de Boer then that would be a great pairing. The other scenario is he stands on Mendes's toes to get the ball off him like he did to hemdani. Only time will tell.
  5. Is that anything to do with Protestant. Is that not sectarian.
  6. I am sure many people thought Emmeline Pankhurst was a crackpot but she did change things for Woman's rights.

Would you want your son in the hands of Gazza as he is at the moment? I wouldn't. Gazza needs to sort himself out and then maybe a few of the options you mentioned will be possible.
  8. Sorry Gribz it was actually meant as humour.Your post did seem a bit negative but i should have added a Smiley as i was laughing while writing my post.
  9. I thought Umbro only got the maketing. I was sure we still control the manufacturing. I may be wrong though.

    Nice play with words!
  11. Ian surely the loss of 5-10 mill pounds is worth mentioning on a finances thread. It may not be part of this financial audit but it is in my eyes a relevant statement. Walter Smith should not be gambling he should be putting a team on the park that are good enough to win. Not"They Should" have been good enough to win. We should have been good enough to beat St Johnstone when Le Guen was here, we should have blown QOTS out of Hampden in the cup final, but our manager seemed not to realise we had no midfield. As we have no technical director pulling the transfer strings, then Walter Smith has to answer for our financial football losses. Let us forget about the loss of 5-10 million pound ,as long as we beat Celtic.
  12. I just totally don't understand why Mendes was not signed earlier so he could play against Kaunas. If the Crouch= Portsmouth=selling Mendes, reports are true then Crouch was bought early in July which would mean Mendes was for sale as early as 6 july. Taking that into account, the fact that even we meer mortals could see our midfield, even with Fergie in it, was struggling (and has been struggling for the last 4 years) the decion not to buy at an earlier date has cost us dearly and must go down as the biggest piece of mismanagement that i can ever remember. Walter Smith a great manager? I think not.
  13. Congratulations you have won the most positive post of the year award. Please keep those positive posts coming on Gersnet 501 medium wave. Come on to F*** Gribz cheer up!!!
  14. Afraid not! If you look right you will see i live in Holland. I am afraid i am one of those hated distance supporters. We used to love that we had supporters all over the world. Now it would seem we are internet pain in the arses.
  15. I just hope peaceful sober supporters turn up. Our cause will not be helped if the drunken *** neds turn up.
  16. What have they bought this season? Only a couple of Cheapo's. Graveson and Baldy cfuked them.
  17. I don't know much about him as we were never given the chance to get to know him, but i wish him luck all the same.
  18. Excellent piece of work Frankie. It would be great if you did get a reply but i would not hold my breath while waiting. Unfortunately many work-groups in every walk of life start with a barrage of promises until they really come up against the real problems. A mountain always looks easy to climb from a distance it is once you get to the base that the difficulties appear. I will say though that this was never going to be an overnight fix and looking at the short picture things may seem stagnant. It will be over the long term that any true result can be measured. Bad communication with the people who you are trying to convince comes over as beating the said supporters into submission, which could in many cases have a reverse working. All parties have to be willing to work together to see any great improvement.
  19. Totally agree, the song is not necessary and only gives reason for the mob to attack. I also seem to remember, that prick McGhee saying "If we go to Dublin" was sectarian.
  20. Can't agree more he really is a quality act.
  21. In my eyes with Boyd playing we will never be able to dominate teams. He just does not have the touch and pass game. We will also be more susceptible to breakaways as the ball does not stick in the front lines and the midfield can get caught between wall and ship. Boyd will win us games and no one can argue with his goal tally that is what makes him so frustrating. If only we could pick and mix.
  22. Nothing to do with Boyd but i would have been angry if Rangers got a penalty decision like that against u. No Penalty in my eyes but i also believe it was not a dive. The two fought for the ball and both went to ground. These things happen.

    gazza

Been here before. Gazza has his own life in his hands. You can try and give everyone the blame including maybe all the bar staff in Britain. What are they thinking about forcing drink down Gazza's throat. Sorry bullshit! Gazza pours drink down his own throat no matter what company he is in. One person to blame, the guy was a great football player but he is an alcoholic. No one to blame but himself and i feel no sorrow for him. I feel sorrow, that this sickness exists in general, but not for Gazza in particular.
  24. Great block by Broadfoot to save a goal. Man of the Match?
