Putting him in against Hamilton is a mistake i feel. He should play a few reserve games first.

Totally agree with you on this one. Why are we putting people in football on such a high pedestal . If the tea-woman dies we will be cancelling games next.
-
I do use news now as well although i have it only on for Rangers news. Apart from results i am not really interested in what is happening in other clubs. I do like the Chick young bit though. Does he know about this? Are we not opening ourselves up for a legal battle for using his name? Just a thought.

The BBC is the first site i go to to look for info anyway, so no problems for me.

The team that lead at this point normally blow it. Man U will come back as the season develops.

What is it. Fools seldom differ.

I think you have to ask yourself, how we would feel if DM died. Without the obvious snide remarks i would be happy with a minutes silence. This new cancel everything is bullshit to me.

Hemdani saw what happened when PLG stood up to Fergie. I agree Hemdani was crap last season but if your manager shows from game1 that you are not in his plans and only get 1 game in five then i can imagine your form can slump. hemdani was one of our best players the season before that. Fergie is a mediocre player. Apart from one season where RDB brought him up a level, he has always been mediocre. If you think the saviour is about to arise then build in a plan 2 to avoid the disappointment.
-
Sorry Cammy but i didn't see the so much more over the last few seasons. On his game he is a better player, but we normally get better excuses than display's. In a perfect world i would prefer an attacking midfielder to be brought in and Fergie sold to finance it. I will admit it will be interesting to see how he plays with Mendes. Will they form a gruesome twosome or will Fergie smother him as he did to Hemdani ? We will find out shortly.

McGregor hasn't been mentioned i believe but he could be top of the list. Walter doesn't like bad boys.

Cal, Excellent post! I couldn't agree more.

No Rangers conspiracy against SFA, insists Kirk Broadfoot

I think it was probably Gribz that started it. Bye the way where is Gribz? Has he been kidnapped by a ladyboy? -
The 3 B's are certainties to be top of the list. Boyd, Burke and Brahim. Thomson for 4 mill is also a candidate and Nacho and McCulloch will probably also enter the frame. I would try and get money for Fergie to be honest as i would prefer to keep Thomson for the long haul.

I agree half and half. If the person is buried or cremated before or on a Thursday then i think the game should go on. If the cremation is on the Friday or the person has not yet been buried or cremated then i feel there is a case for postponement. If my boss dies i have to work the day after so i don't see why people in football should be different to the rest of the world. A minutes silence or applause should be enough.

Gersnet Competition - Win a Copy of 'One Ginger Pele'
pete replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
You would have got the answer wrong anyway. -
Mainflyer, Firstly you are right about NIAR as Bluedell also pointed out. I stand corrected on that one. Secondly even although some people may disagree with you, that is what we want to debate. You have made some excellent posts today opening up debatable points, that is what we want on this forum.
-
Probably true Dell, Dick Advocaat probably done the most damage. I stand corrected.

I agree with you we are sometimes totally unfairly painted in the media and Murray should do more to defend our support. We have had a Protestant past and we should be proud of that. At the same time i believe in the future all creeds should be welcome at Ibrox be it as player or supporter without feeling threatened or uneasy. We stand next to each other in the queue at Safeway's, why can't we do it at a football game. We did in the 50's and 60's so lets get that tradition back.
-
The thing is, not everything David Murray has done has been bad. I think most supporters now want to see him selling out . I don't know if he is a failed Chairman as his Murray companies seem to have done okay for him. Has he been good for Rangers long term? Looking at our financial situation then it has to be said he has certainly not been our most successful chairman. The price for 9in a row was almost fatale, Whether it was worth it everyone will have their own opinion. It is certainly easy to sign cheques if the money is not your own.
-
I did not mean to insinuate that you said you did, i was just making a point. Sorry it was just that i was answering your post..
-
You can call it what you want to call it, Sectarian bile, racist chants or verbal diarrhoea. If i quoted David Murray then good because on this point i totally agree with him. Shouting Feed the pigeons or Fen!an Bastards is not the part of our history or tradition i want to be remembered. If i see the wined up pricks at the games i go to then i get totally ashamed. The quicker it is eradicated the better.
-
I am not a Boyd fan as is well documented, "BUT" he should have been the first name on the team sheet yesterday. We needed goals and who does that better than anyone. BOYD!!!
-
I don't think i said we should lose all our traditions. Surely football is our first and foremost tradition? That is where we should start supporting our team. Yes there will be consequences in a transitional period as in new songs being accepted etc. No we should not forget our protestant history but shouting sectarian bile at Celtic supporters does not make us better protestants.
