One or two assists in how many games that is exactly the problem. Football is a game with 11 players and not 10 and chris Boyd. At this moment he is the best we have but i would be looking to replace him. You cannot learn to be a target man you are born like that. He may improve a little but will never become the complete package. I would not put Boyd as better as a super-sub.

Agreed Stewarty apart from the goal he did nothing yesterday. You can only blame the defence for the first goal(the punt) yesterday but many goals are created from lost possesion up front.Also he does have an eye for a goal but not for his fellow players, Prso sets goals up for other players, i don't think Boyd knows he is playing with other players.

I would rather see a big strong Mark Hatley. Chris Sutton kind of player that can control and hold the ball up front. I am afraid i am not a Boyd fan he gives the team nothing when he dosn't score. Yes he does score a lot but the fact is we cannot hold the ball up,in a forward position, which can also put extra pressure on the midfield and defence.

I don't disagree with any of that the defence needs to be sorted first.(period) I still do not think our midfield is anywhere near where we want to be and that is for me Adam. I don't rate him higher than a Dunfermline player. I think Brown has proven in the SPL what he can do and i think he can also do that in Europe. A foreign midfielder is always a risk if he can accept the Scottish culture.

From what i have seen of Scott Brown i would love to see him in the place of Charlie Adam. For me it is chalk and cheese.

Great result. It is a pity the interviewer at the end asked BF why the defence is so poor but bottled it to ask le Guen the same question. I could accept le Guens wet pitch theory if it was a one of afair but it is happening week in week out. I was all for Hemdani at the back but after tonights performance i have severe doubts. He was caught ball watching far too much. Possibly being taken aside by a good defensive coach may improve him as i do believe he could be a great player at the back and it is new to him. One thing was clear to me tonight and i hope to le Guen as well, the No. 1 keeper is not even a talking point anymore. McGregor was outstanding. Man of the match for me. The truth is we have nobody to replace him though, Boyd can't and Buffel certainly can't on a weekly showing. The Dutch sent this game out live and indeed said the football was poor. Unfortunatly the atmosphere at the midden always seems to impress the Dutch. The goal was one out of the top drawer no matter where you come from.

If Rangers are interested, Brown won't go to parkhead. Whether they offer him funny money to sign is possibly another answer. I don't know where his will to play for Rangers and the money he wants parts company.

I would go with that. I watched the highlights of the Hibs game yesterday and thought Brown was outstanding. He seemed to play on the left a lot which would suit us perfectly. From what i have seen of him i would put him a few classes higher than Adam. His one-touch passing and vision for a through ball looked impressive.

There will be many rumours between now and january 31 but i would go with this one to make way for a centre half with a bit more conviction in attacking the ball with head and foot.
