  1. It was a win that could have been a defeat, a loss against a side that was merely physical and well organised. PC needs to get the team to keep possession. Decision making when with the ball should have been better. Ceding territory, and possession, to the opposition is not the way forward.
  2. Surprised we got that pen!! (Although it was.)
  3. Keeping possession of the ball would be a start. Good to see Windass has shrugged off his stage fright.
  4. Merely extrapolating from the play so far. M'well had 1st 5 mins, Rangers the next 20, M'well the remainder. If Rangers' chances had gone in, I would not be concerned, but they didn't.
  5. Can't say I am surprised. We are likely to struggle now.
  6. Letting the opposition back into the game, ffs
  7. Great start; now keep the foot on the gas.
  8. I have never, ever, heard that expression used, anywhere, anytime, and I suspect that I may be able to give you a few years. If it exists at all, it was coined by some Embra journalist, or cultural consultant, or ethno-folklorist, or some other hanger on among the social commentariat, trying for contemporary credibility, and failing.
  9. All you need to know is that in Embra, they refer to citizens of Glasgow as "Weegies"; in No Mean City, we refer to citizens of Embra as........well, we don't actually consider them important, or interesting enough to warrant a nickname; we never have.
  10. The Odious Dog Handler, in yesterday's Times, declared: "Caixinha, I believe, is a dud." I am disinclined to back that onanist's opinion on anything at all, far less football.
  11. Connoisseur -aficionado- of Victorian architecture.
  12. Fhilth fc, its manager, and a fair no. of its superstars will face, and suffer from, 2nd Season Syndrome. It will also suffer from complacency, a result of eating its own shit. Therefore, if Pedro C can get one or two of the forwards scoring frequently, the League will be a damned sight closer than fhilth fc, and its media acolytes anticipate. The Good Guys may even win it.
  13. The Jewish Echo defunct, now??
  14. Harsh, very harsh.....but fair.
  15. Sheep shagged. Trouble in their pen, too, Ugly scenes per BBC Scotland. Fighting with stewards, possibly sheep on sheep violence. Riot police with shields and batons clearing the vermin now.
  16. There should be plenty tickets, then, unless the Edinburgh Licensing Committee and Police Scotlandputs the stever in.
  17. An amusing vignette, from a poster below the line of a Guardian article on the demise of Cathro: I like to listen to the BBC's Scottish Football podcast because it's a hoot to hear the antiquated, parochial viewpoints spouted by the "football men" and pundits who constantly appear on it. I actually heard one journalist - Tom English - suggest Celtic's Scott Sinclair was a better player than Leroy Sane! And English is supposed to be one of the more enlightened Scottish football pundits. Sad.
  18. The clue is in the name, Romania
  19. So Cathro, under contract at the Hertz, ken, is sacked and walks straight into a job at Wolves, which he had already negotiated with his old boss, and the Hertz, ken, in their haste to dismiss him, miss out on any compensation for the remainder of his contract. Or have I read this wrongly?
  20. The Hertz, ken, have to pay off Cathro & Co, are looking at a building contract which is way over budget, are likely to have to appoint an out of work manager/coach to save compen, (oh, say, Hartley,) who will love to have a player who, by all accounts, wishes to leave and sign on the dotted line @Ibrox, so wherein lies the problem?
  21. I wonder if he'll have a Levein do? I wonder if therein lies the problem. Here is the statement from the Hertz, ken "Craig Levein, Hearts’ Director of Football, has confirmed that Head Coach Ian Cathro, will leave the Club with immediate effect. The Board wishes it to be known that this was a very difficult decision, reluctantly made, as every member of the Board recognises that Ian is an extremely talented young coach with a very bright future ahead of him. "We thank Ian for all of his efforts and wish him well in the future”. A further statement will be made tomorrow in relation to management plans for this weekend’s Ladbrokes Premiership match against Celtic and longer term."
  22. Don't know about dogs, but would recommend turning all the mirrors to the wall......
