Did we not have SIX clean sheats? 0-0 Home to Pana 2-0 Home to Bremen 0-0 Home to Sporting 2-0 Away to Sporting 0-0 Home to Fiorentina 0-0 Away to Fiorentina Actually 6.33 if you count extra time... ;-) Typical English not having a clue, but maybe not as bad as the very snidy STV.

Where are you driving from? I'm in MK so coming from the South so it shouldn't be so bad till near the city although Birmingham is always bad. I could go on my bike to get through any traffic but don't really fancy the distance in the heat - bikes are mega fun for a blast but boring as hell on a droning 3hr motorway journey with no radio, cd or company. you then have to carry round all your gear when you're there after you change into shorts and T.

I'd love to come up but I've got a pretty scary deadline coming up at work and can't take any time off... I could maybe drive up and down in one night but sounds like it could be a nightmare, wouldn't know where to park and then couldn't drink... I'd probably end up missing most of the game. So I'm probably going to watch it a home with a Tim(!) mate on my projector screen and down a bottle of fine wine or two. ITV4 of course...

You should change your id to Rubber Bmuck... Or should that be Rawbab Duck...? Best I can can up with...

PS I just can't believe how much of a laughing stock the SPL have been this season.

What are Dundee Utd going to sue the SFA for? Anyone with the slightest clue about civil law can see they haven't got the slightest case, and indeed could be open to being sued themselves by Mike McCurry for slander. It is no wonder we have been stitched by the SPL when the member clubs are being run by self-centred, petulant, spoiled children. The only thing they can achieve is getting all Scottish clubs kicked out of Europe as UEFA don't allow teams from countries whose FA is in litigation by a member club - like almost happened to Portugal, and maybe that's what they want to do. There is even the fact that these decisions are unlikely to affect Dundee Utd's season in the slightest. They never looked like winning the game and even a draw looked unlikely. But even so, Motherwell are well placed in third in the league. However, they have to learn to take decisions against them on the chin instead of throwing the toys out of the pram. Rangers have done this all season despite the false perception that we get all the breaks. Rangers may get more slightly dodgy penalties than most as we are in the opposition box more than most - however, the flip side of the same coin is we are turned down for good penalty claims far more than most. No-one is saying you can't complain about a bad decision but for club officials to go into apoplexy and accuse everyone and his dog of conspiring against them is beyond the pale. Dundee Utd should now be known for infamy - "Infamy, infamy, they all have it in fo' me!"

I thought Scotsport was a complete stitch up of Rangers, who have done absolutely nothing wrong. The was no mention of, and the highlights did not show, the Barry Ferguson claim for a penalty nor the incorrect offside where Novo was one on one with the keeper. Surely they are talking points and also relevant to impartiality of the officials? Rangers seem to get stitched up every time and we've had about four big decisions against us in the last two Celtic games which have been crucial to our chances of winning the league, but they have not been discussed either. The "pundits" were horrendously unbalanced and indeed, unintelligent last night, both were on a rant against Rangers. Do these guys understand football and refereeing? McCurry has explained himself very well and even a slomo replay of the deflected goal, from the angle of the linesman, it looks like the Utd player played it. You can only argue these incidents with the benefit of multiple replays which the refs do not have access to during the game. They called as they seen it, but it's getting harder to call decisions in the split second these days. The new offside rule is virtually impossible to call at times and diving is a huge problem, so you can't give a penalty unless you actually see the infringement. These mistakes have been made since football started in the 19th century, and if you don't understand that then you are not qualified to talk about football to the nation.

When you think about it, if they have the biggest telly in the world then only half the stadium will be able to watch it as it'll be on the park. 50K / 2 = 25K, simple...

You mean you're changing it from, "What would Smeato do?", surely?
-
I read it as New York and thought you were being sarcastic... I take it you meant Newcastle-York-Manchester?
-
And Moscow is in Ayrshire - anyone there going to the CL final...?
-
PS Washington is between Newcastle and Sunderland...
-
New York is between Newcastle and Whitley bay - just off the A19. Driven past it quite a few times when I lived in Newcastle.
-
PS I wouldn't mind an explanation for Barry not getting a pen - or a free kick on the edge of the box...
-
Well explained by the man and a proper rebuke at those who question his integrity. It does however, provide a compelling argument for use of TV replays.

I could see us pay 3M plus 1M in add ons or such like. He doesn't look worth it at the moment but unfortunately it's the going rate for a young Premiership player. The good thing about buy from there is that you can usually get rid of them back down south if it doesn't work out - and sometimes make a profit. Souness did that all the time.
-
His quick free kick kind of showed up some of the staleness in the first team as we've not been quick witted enough to think of that too often lately - although we have scored a couple a while back that way, and had one chalked off as the ref somehow wasn't ready - those masonic refs eh?
-
Seemed to come off as a precautionary measure as he didn't look too bad.
-
PS I think that's a great idea by RST and good see some support of the referees. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm sick of this conspiracy theory nonsense which is all the more galling when you look back on the huge number of decisions that have went against us this season - including at least four on Saturday.
-
I can't believe that Levein thinks ALL the decisions went Rangers way. Just what game was he watching?
-
The biggest problem is that he's also playing very poorly lately. I wouldn't mark him above 5 out of 10 for many of his recent performances. I think Boyd now deserves to start before him, as while he's not offered much recently either, he's still been the better of the two. In contrast, Novo is rapidly becoming one of my favourite Rangers players. And Darche is still popular with me but he also needs to do a bit better.
-
I'm not offended by the word either, but I am offended by the double standards. I also think that some of the more contentious stuff has to be banned and lesser stuff discouraged if we're going to get this kind of rivalry away from the legal minefields of religious and political discrimination. I can't believe that Boruc hasn't been censored for that t-shirt, which, while not actually offensive, is still shit stirring of the highest order which helps continue the religious divide. Clubs should make efforts to distance themselves from this kind of display if they truly want to promote themselves as open to all.
-
PS I can also see Boyd being more attractive to Birmingham now they have gone down as he'd probably do a good job in the Championship. Players such as McFadden and O'Conner will probably now want to leave as well. Perhaps we should go for McFadden...

I was quite glad he never went to Fulham (although annoyed at the games he missed and his lack of match fitness) especially with Darcheville's injury and it has really served us well this season to have both Darche and Cousin interchangeable in the lone striker's role. I was hoping he'd change his mind and want to stay due to getting a taste for winning things as well as playing in the CL and getting to the UEFA cup final. However, I also agree that his attitude has become unforgivable and I'm not a fan of players who are just not interested except in themselves - like Ricksen and many others. The guy was very unpopular with the fans of his last club and it's becoming more obvious why. I really hope that as Fulham have stayed up, they will come back for him at the same 3M price. I can't see why they wouldn't as they must have been interested enough before and he has played in the latter stages of the UEFA cup as well as being part of a Rangers team who could win a possible domestic treble. Let's just hope they haven't noticed his terrible attitude of late. 3M would be a good down payment on a higher quality striker.

Anyway, the worst insult has to be, "Bawbab"...
