It irritates me when folk call him 'Laugherty'. He's by no means deserving of that moniker. Unlike Beattie who I could call Beattit.

Hearing a rumour an as yet unnamed club has bid 5M for Bougherra. -

Saw this on Facebook. Great news. His move here has been a total failure. -
I don't really see anything complicated about it. It's got much more money, and all the teams in it are bigger than SPL teams bar the OF. I'd hold onto McGregor. Lafferty is a useful player in that he can play different positions. And Beattie can bugger off. But we'd get pennies for him.

I heard Celtic tried to sign him too. I kid. -
That would be me

I've never altered my stance on this - the Championship, imo, is far better than the SPL which hovers into League 2/3 level. We're light all over. If we got a defender we'd be complaining it wasn't a midfielder, and if we got a mid we'd be moaning it wasn't a defender. Our squad is thin, period, so numbers are crucial all over.

Scored the winner against England some years back. So I knew of him before Spain.

Is it anyone we're interested in Celtic automatically sign simply to stop us getting them? -

The two signings have uncanny similarities about them I admit. I guess we'll just have to see. -
Or on the flip side he's an experienced campaigner at Championship level which is considerably higher than the SPL.
-
I must be about the only fan who kinda likes this signing.
-
He never impressed me I have to say.

I'd be happy never to discuss the bugger again tbh.

Past few seasons his appearances have been severely limited to around 10 per season. I don't know if that's down to form or injury, but it's telling they've been in the Premiership for 2 of them. I reckon a fit and on form Healy could do us a turn. -
Interesting. It's effectively not Rangers Commons is calling liars, but Walter Smith himself: Commons says this simply isn't true. Curiouser and curiouser.

I don't think Healy would be the worst signing we've ever made tbh. He's had a fruitful career in the Championship and the SPL is a far inferior league so he should do ok up here. -
Edu's form was an equal factor for me.
-
I preferred him to Boyd. He was technically better.
-
One thing I'll say is it's frustrating that he can't do anything with his left foot. Every time he gets near the byline he cuts back.
-
Must you be so pedantic. It's plain as the nose on my face that he didn't score 20 goals+, but for the amount he played he did score a fair contribution and vital ones at that. Ya nitpicker.

I was told about this link hours ago and I still don't know what I think of it. He's talented and seems to have matured in the past few years. But it does depress me that this is the calibre of player we're going for.
