All I'll say is I'm glad we're playing PSV and not Lille.

PSV are better than Sporting but not by a massive amount. The Dutch league is terrible these days, and they beat Lille because I believe Lille had men sent off and their manager sent to the stand. Sampdoria are poor these days, 14th in Italy. PSV won't be easy but they are beatable. We've beaten better.

tbh he's Peter Lovenkrands all over again. Was totally wasted on the left wing, and started to get a run up front alongside Buffel where he became the country's top scorer. In his wisdom, Eck put him back on the left and his form rapidly went south. Lafferty's the same - he's never been any good on the left, and that's mostly where he's played.

When he's in the mood and on form he is extremely good - hell, I recall the pelters he got last season died down up till about January this year because he was showing signs of form. It's only in the last month the criticism has returned. Until he gets an extended run up front, he will never be consistent. And that's not a luxury he's ever had at Ibrox. So he basically has no chance.

I am going to look at this positively and say he's learned from as good a mentor as you can have, and will also have learned the mistakes Walter's made and can eliminate them. Hopefully we'll get the best of both worlds.
