  1. I like to use the Uefa site for the graphical representation of the draw, and ssn for the actual draw itself.
  2. Yup, he said exactly the same thing as he did last year.
  3. Wonder if Nicholas will make any digs at Rangers again about 'only being there for the money'.
  4. It's also on Virgin Media's M+ package and above. I briefly thought I'd lost SSN when it was removed from the lesser packages and was delighted to hear my package still had it. I don't know why they've taken it off freeview.
  5. From what I am seeing here, your argument seems to be more against players reacting in general. Because surely you're not singling out Lafferty for doing what thousands of players before him have. And btw, that's NOT how it is - and the laws of the game know this so have handy things called yellow and red cards to punish players when they DO react or misbehave. According to your bizarre logic, these cards shouldn't be in the game because players, as professionals, should not and must not react. You dislike him so much you'll defend players of opposing teams in the process? Nice. Disagree. You would have been calling him a liability after that Aberdeen dive - yet in all the time since he still hasn't cost us anything. Or are you purely talking about sheer chance, because in that case every player we have is capable of costing us points or cards so they're ALL liabilities. Guess you could argue the same for Fleck really. But at least Fleck isn't getting mostly played out of position unlike Lafferty. Then I guess Naismith is too. It's called rotation. More players you have, the better. You call me a Kyle supporter, by this reply I can call you a Kyle 'hater'. The truth is I suspect both of us are somewhere in the middle. My case, from the start, has been to give him support, just like I did with Boyd and Bougherra despite disliking them, because he is a Rangers player and has never given us less than his all. I don't think he's the ghost of Hateley and McCoist, nor do I consider him Satan - I just give him slack like I give all Rangers players. If you don't want to do that, fine - but kindly stop calling me a Lafferty supporter. I am a Rangers supporter and hate seeing our players being maligned by our own fans. Quite simply..... Enough is enough.
  6. Article 12 under chapter 34 of the Web Law. I don't. I consider his value, and rate him more than some others do. I hardly go around saying he's the greatest thing since sliced bread, but it seems when Lafferty is discussed, you and S_A always have to try and big up Boyd in response. Quite why any good bear would defend anything about him in light of the quotes he came out with about our club is beyond me, but hey ho. Touche
  7. Not quite what I was doing and you know it.
  8. I do, December till the start of March he was extremely poor - couldn't trap the ball to save himself. He has hot and cold periods Miller, right now he's in a hot one.
  9. Auxerre are in our pot are they not?
  10. As a Milan fan I would not be averse to us getting them - dream outcome would be both teams going through. I'm also strangely conducive to us getting Chelsea or Arsenal though I both know would rape us.
  11. Well he's only 22. Rooney took till 26 before he started to mentally mature, and even then he's still an idiot at times.
  12. I could easily have given you a direct response but I didn't see what Boyd has to do with a thread about Lafferty in the context you're banging on about. If you can tell me why you're trying to whore an ex player irrelevantly in a thread about a current one, by all means be my guest. btw, isn't 'coward' a bit melodramatic for a message board when people are usually accused of being keyboard hardmen?
  13. All a bit quiet about this. It's tomorrow at 5pm on SSN. Sevilla are out, so Lyon take their place in pot 1. We're going to get a tough draw no matter who we get. For glamour you'd want Chelsea/Arsenal, Real Madrid and Twente. For a slight chance of going through, Lyon, ... actually looking at the pot 2 teams none of them strike me as teams we can beat...
  14. They also murdered us.
  15. A class player even to this day, but 33 now and past his best but still good enough. Experience could be useful for the CL, and I wouldn't say no. But can't see him wanting to join us.
  16. No matter how many millions you get, occasionally you'll be a flamin' galaaaahr and react. Or are you telling me Zinedine Zidane did NOT headbut Materazzi (And that had by no means been the first hot head moment in his career either, and he's regarded as one of the greatest ever). Footballers are still human. No he's not, he's never cost us a single point, victory or anything. If he was a liability, we'd have paid for his moments by now. I wouldn't have him at LM full stop. I've been promoting rotation for a long time, so I wouldn't say I want this guy over that guy all the time - it depends on the game and the circumstance. And we have the options up front that all our players are important and should be used wisely. And for that I trust Walter Smith - and if he deems Jelavic or Fleck before Lafferty or vice versa, I'll trust him on it. Disagree. None of our players are expendable.
  17. I don't recall Boyd being part of this thread?
  18. Sincerely hope not. He's a pivotal player imho.
  19. Hot headed moment which he will have from time to time. Not the brightest bulb in the pack and never will be, but I still have faith in his ability and consider him an important part of the squad.
  20. I'm an unashamed Boyd 'hater' and Mller 'lover'. Chalk and cheese and I'm absolutely glad to be shot of Boyd and would be crushed if Miller left.
  21. I thought it was the worst Edu's played in a very long time but he's allowed to have the occasional off day.
  22. It is anything but a myth that the Sheep raise their game to us. They throw everything at us, and I also suspect our players struggle with the hostile atmosphere at Pittodrie. Aberdeen hate us more than Celtic do.
  23. Best thing about this match is there really were quite a few candidates for motm. That's the way we want it.
  24. It was an emotional, reactionary and impact award. I've not seen such an impressive debut for a long time and it's great to be excited by a player again.
  25. Not true, he made quite a few other runs and passes. He also did one cut back where no one was there to take the bait.
