  1. Some much needed confidence and game time for Senderos were gained from today and as Chilledbear points out, shows what we can do if we are given a bit of space. Not sure how easy it is to arrange a friendly at short notice mid season so thanks must go to linfield for the invite to play the testimonial. It keeps things ticking over and has been a decent exercise.
  2. I can't agree hes a marked man, and I have no beef with DJ however listening to him on Clyde he has become one of their sycophants. Barton is slow and it appears that they are all around him, not because he's a marked man, he's off the pace. He has had one shocker of a tackle and the idiot was rightly sent off. We live in a different world from the one DJ and his cohort Keevans recognise, where social media is used for various reasons. I think DJ is correct in saying that Barton should keep his mouth shut if he can't back it up on the park, he has been shown to be a fairly average player imo, slow and off the pace. On his point re Rossiter and Barton I 100% agree. I wouldn't have Barton in my team every week, Rossiter should be first choice. He has quality at such a young age in every department.
  3. Keirnan must use both feet as I watch him use his left frequently. Btw now that you have pointed that out anyone think that because he uses both feet, confidently it has to be said in a passing context, is probably one of the reasons MW is so enthusiastic about him?.
  4. If Hodsnon is away on NI duty then I can only think to put Keirnan at left back(he's left footed?) and the new young boy we got from Raith Rovers at CH beside Senderos? Either that or as you say DB a back three of Keirnan, Senderos and Tav with Rossiter in front then 3-3. Not sure tbh?? Options with next week in mind??? Although if he is thinking of 3-5-2 next week then a back three tomorrow would be a good shout.
  5. Barrie should have told them to stick it too. Good for big Lee, he's the Rangers captain first and foremost.
  6. You can sign unattached players at any time of the season as a free agent GS. I just done an Internet search on it.
  7. I would like to think so, however he has looked off the pace and a few miss timed tackles, the place erupts and he's off!. Is it worth the risk? Rossiter is far quicker, mentally and physically.
  8. This is not BS I had a dream last night that I put a coupon on, 2-1 Bears and McKay FGS, it came up!! Hopefully I will start having these every night before I go to the bookies...
  9. There is a new cross border Balkan competition being sanctioned by UEFA too.
  10. Yes DB, iPhone will be preped and ready! Reasons to be optimistic?? It's on grass and not plastic ffs lol. Seriously though, we have nothing to lose, that mob have the game won already, I reckon if we keep it tight in midfield, move quick ball and find some confidence we have nothing to fear. The team from Israel showed them for what they are, average and very beatable!
  11. If someone is out of contract they can be signed at anytime as far as I am aware. You can't stop someone from gaining employment if they don't have any.
  12. Interesting? Wes Tav Senderos Wilson Wallace Rossiter Forrester Halliday McKay Garner Waghorn Subs.. Barton, Nico, Holt, Hill, Windass, Miller and Crooks. So many options when you look at the team and on paper I feel we should be good enough to challenge at the top. Any one of those subs could fit in easily.
  13. I'm of the same opinion as Frankie on this. Will wait and see with Senderos? I was very hopeful at first however it looks like he waited as long as he could to sign, possibly waiting for a better offer?. Let's hope he is as committed as he says he is. He certainly has a great CV and I would like to like to think he will do a solid job for us.
  14. I don't know? If it was me curiosity would get the better of me, but 26 pages of being called a dick is a bit much lol. I reckon my missus who passed is still calling me a dick lol! Either that or she said it so much it's in my head 24/7 ha ha!
  15. I take your point BM and don't disagree with some of it, however why wouldn't the wife, knowing the she and her family are financially secure, not want to broaden their horizons? Experience a new culture and different people? I'm with Pete on this. Having lived abroad for a long period I can assure you that British people(English being the worst to be fair) are lazy and embarrassing when it comes to languages. I had picked up more in my first year abroad than some had bothered to learn in a lifetime. I can't understand why anyone would pick Bournmouth ahead of Italy?? I have no doubt he possibly was taking his missus into consideration as it wouldn't surprise me if she didn't quite fancy all the hassle of "Johnny foreigner" not making the effort to speak their language.
  16. I agree with you Ian. Someone said in another post they feel like chucking it, tbh I feel similar. We are getting shafted in all directions and have been for a long long time. The board and club look like they are going to accept this imho. I hope I'm wrong and hope I get pelters for being wrong, but I suspect I will be right. We must tackle them l legally to end this blatant discrimination.
  17. Don't see how that's relevant to following your team to a CF??? Its hardly the time to be picking fault with each other mate, we are all getting shafted.
  18. It's fair to say its now or never. I'm sure everyone must understand if the club have no appetite to defend themselves, the players or the fans over what's happening, they genuinely never will.
  19. Sack that! If the get a ticket for ICT i won't be going. Complete waste of a Friday night traveling all the way up there and back again. Midweek or sat/sun fine, not on a Friday for me.
  20. Will we ever find out what happened with Senderos?? Lescott has signed for AEK Athens...
  21. Bet there is a few on here who could outpace Boydy Ffs lol.
  22. Competing in a NAL wouldn't be financially out of fans reach. Tickets for away games in Holland, Sweden and Norway etc wouldn't be overly expensive and busses to these games and flights could be arranged at a reasonable price. We would still fill Ibrox every other week and the TV money would rocket with companies in all of the countries competing, bidding for TV rights. Granted it may take a while to rival the already established competition however all clubs would be in a far better financial and footballing position.
  23. I've been preaching for long enough that the North Atlantic League(NAL) is the way forward, for footballing and financial reasons it makes perfect sense.
  24. I was thinking something similar DB. If they come after us re this, then if we were to highlight this to the governing body at UEFA that our fans and a section of our society were being abused in a sectarian manner, which is arguably being condoned by those in footballing and political power, I suspect they would be obligated to look at both sides of the situation. Explain that we don't condone our fans behaviour, however in the face of growing social marginalisation this has been brought about by frustration at what seems like collision from those in power to further attack our fans, club and parts of our culture. If they are unable to interfere then at least there will have been a light shone on what is going on here in a broader sense. There may be some who then wish to act on that.
