I have never been anything other than calm. That's something else you apparently need to learn. But to be typical it's a typical non comment I have been seeing on the internet for over 20 years. Another text book example of talking and saying nothing.
-
Despite a bad first half to the season which effectively lost us a title there for the taking this team should be good enough to secure a minimum second place no matter who is in charge. So if Murty can't do that he can't be considered. I would also now expect that no one else should be beating us at Ibrox. It's not even the same team as that we had when Pedro was in charge. The January window changed the complexion of it.

We're aware you couldn't care less about Rangers being linked with IRA style par military face masks. And I will continue to make you aware that I care more about the reputation of the club than you or apparently every single person you know by saying I don't want such as this linked to my club. I do that because I want the passing public to know that you're definitely not the face of the club and if the club were asked the same question you really are out of touch with reality if you thought for a moment they would condone that. And let me tell you something else you appear to be entirely unaware of. The Internet isn't some imaginary world that exists only in the imagination. Believe it or not the people posting here are real people with real views. It is the 'real' world whether you're aware of it or not though there is a difference. Here's as simple a scenario as I can come up with to illustrate that. An obese or what you might call ugly person walks down the street. Social norms typically kick in and people don't in general call them fat or ugly to their face. Or at least civilised people don't. Now when they're gone these same people might say it among each other or describe it to people who weren't there later. They were thinking that at the time but didn't say it. On the internet people are infinitely more likely to say exactly what they think than they would be out on the street or on a train because the same strictures don't apply due to the faceless nature of it. So in that respect the internet even more 'real' than the 'real' world as you call it. People more often say what they're really thinking rather than preserve social norms.

I'm not claiming to be an authority I'm telling you that the majority around here don't like masked IRA style antics being linked with Rangers and no Rangers supporter I personally know has expressed anything but disgust, scorn, and disappointment that these 'low iq total fannies' as one called them are being linked to the club. Yes there are a lot of bears in Oklahoma, predominately black bears you don't want to run into on a walk in the country. You raised the train thing, I responded to it. That's what happens on a discussion forum you see. You mention something people may talk about it. I don't live on the Internet or on the streets but I don't need to be a sociologist to know that people are different in both.
-
Yes you're far out of touch with reality if you don't grasp that people are different online than they are in the street or on a train. That's not a difficult concept or reality to grasp it's a well known phenomenon that's been debated in psychological circles and it doesn't take a psychologist to explain in depth why. And as for this drivel about talking about a match after the match FFS. What a surprise. You seriously think I or anyone else for that matter would have been focused on anything else after a match? You equate an after match train journey with topics on an internet forum? What else didn't they talk about that gets talked about on internet topics which have subject lines related to that topic? You must be surprised about the number of things talked about here which weren't talked about on that train because it's voluminous. Why is anyone in here talking about anything other than matches? Getting it? It's a dedicated discussion forum discussing all manner of topics. Even ones you don't want to talk about if people don't decide to be like you and support any Tom Dick or wacko no matter what it does no matter what light it paints the club in providing it's wearing a blue scarf. And as for someone in the States I was born in and lived in Scotland for over 50 years which you likely haven't yet you think you can tell me anything about Scotland? I would bet I was at Ibrox beforee you were born. You better go tell all those others on this forum who were born and bred in Scotland but are no longer there that you're an authority over and above them when it comes to Rangers and Scotland. That kind of disconnect doesn't actually surprise me either since you earlier tried to tell me something about Oklahoma . A place i'm pretty confident you have never been in and I have lived and worked in for the past 6 years.

Well once more allow me to enlighten you. Trains are typically methods of transport where people play with phones or make small talk on typically short journeys. Forums like this exist for discussion and nothing else and in case you didn't notice it that opens possibilities for discussion over hours, days and weeks not ten minutes on a train. It's like being puzzled as to why so many people in parliament talk about the topic of the moment in parliament yet it's not being discussed so frequently on the train. I'm baffled that anyone at all is baffled by discussion of a topic which was started to discuss that topic. And dare I say 'ultra' baffled that anyone expresses any surprise that any specific topic isn't discussed on any specific train journey. Trains rarely reflect the absolute reality of parliament or the internet, thankfully. And the reason for that is people are a lot more frank on an internet forum than they are on a train. That's another fact that may have escaped your notice and there are very good reasons for it which you may be able to discern with just a little thought.

I would prefer they were banned from Ibrox especially given their behaviour and the fact that from a financial point of view we don't need them. We're not Partick etc. And there is a precedent. http://www.heraldscotland.com/news/12700261.Ibrox_ban_on_Celtic_fans/
-
If you prefer they didn't do this that's fine by me, that being your preference you obviously must appreciate that this is not good for the club despite your issue with the way I present it. I still have to maintain that the average Joe anywhere would find those images sinister. Hence my problem with it. I don't want the club being linked to that.
-
So what do you think the view would be if those images were presented to a random population in any first world country? Say if I showed them to people here in Oklahoma for example? How many do you think would say just lads having a laugh? Any? And incidentally I wouldn't show them to anyone here and the reason for that is I don't want Rangers linked with such a face and yes I think it's a serious problem if others don't see the problem with that being linked to Rangers.
-
I would say my view is in line with that of the club if they had to state one which if this type of display continues they may be forced to because this can't lead to anything good. You must surely agree with that. I'm hardly emphasising anything. I'm commenting on a point.
-
And there you go again, talking and saying nothing. Belittling the face of it with more vacuous nothing negating nothing. But then you support anything anyone in a scarf does no matter how detrimental it is to the club. Right? I on the other hand support the club and the public face plus reputation of the club. Not every fringe group wearing a blue scarf.
-
Ok we're almost entirely on the same page but regarding the face masks that's not a view. That's common opinion anywhere in the civilised world. You think the club would endorse and be happy to be linked with images like this? I'm pretty confident the answer is no and for obvious reasons. The obvious reasons move it out of teh sphere of a mere 'view' In my view.
-
And there you go again, talking and saying nothing and seemingly don't even know it. And again I will point out that recognising face masks and para military style displays on our streets is sinister is not hysterical. These views are social norms in every civilised country in the world and those who support them are seen as extremist nutcases. And again I and the majority don't want our club linked with it. It's one of the things that separated us from the other side and their terroristic like displays. Which seemingly you would have no problem with. I do because now if we point a finger at it they will just point the finger back.
-
These things are indisputable fact and don't give me this utter pish again about lads having a laugh. You're making yourself look like an extremist nutcase. If you don't get that face masks and para military style antics aren't sinister you have serious issues. And again I and the vast majority of Rangers supporters don't want our club linked with it. That's not subjective believe me despite the fact that you had no idea how bad it looked till you saw the opinion here.
-
Ok there you have it, you're so far out of step with social norms and the reputation of the club that it doesn't matter what anyone does if they claim to be a a Rangers supporter. After that anything goes for you in your own words. And again you just illustrated that you can't respond to any comment with anything to negate it. You simply go around another corner as if the comment didn't even exist. Allow me to enlighten you. Face masks and para military style displays on streets anywhere in the civilised world are seen as sinister with dark connotations. That's not an opinion that's an absolute fact and I don't want Rangers being linked with such sinister displays.
-
What are you even talking about? Who said what? Do you need to have the obvious pointed out to you? What's the evidence any disruptive 'protest' that has turned into trouble in the past was potentially going to go that way? Face masks come to mind? That too much of an Einsteinian leap? You had to learn on here that it looked sinister? That's frankly bizarre. Now present the evidence that it was just a bunch of boys marching like a sally ally band singing kumbaya even if not surrounded by cops. See how easily that is turned around?
-
Rangers and Scottish nationalism should not be connected. I think the para military style antics by this UB segment should be condemned by all but I wouldn't vote for Scottish independence. I was out of the country at the time but I would have voted no. It's no use saying these clowns caused no trouble when surrounded by a cordon of police. Causing no trouble when there is a cop for every handful of them? That's to be commended? How much trouble would there be anywhere in the country if we had 10 million cops on the streets?
-
I was impressed at one point after Caixinha left when questioned about his future he said I signed for the club not for Pedro Caixinha. And he does seem settled, happy, and gets what playing for Rangers is about.
-
This is what the guy said. That's provocative? This guy is a public figure and if he loses control over something like that he's a liability. What would his reaction be if it were real aggressive abuse such as Russell Martin experienced and completely ignored with not a word far less a spit?
-
Sheep go through on penalties after a 1-1 draw in extra time. Lucky sheep, not much different from a coin toss.
-
They sacked Andy Gray for unacceptable language and I would say what Carragher has done is at least on a par and maybe even worse. Disgusting behaviour in response to nothing but a non offensive remark. Contrast that with the behaviour of Russell Martin when faced with aggressive foul mouthed abuse.
-
He hasn't been let go he's on loan and he will get a chance at Rangers when he comes back if he proves himself to be better than the current first choices.

LIVINGSTON have landed an awards double after Ryan Hardie and David Hopkin were named Championship player and manager of the month respectively. Four wins and a draw in February helped propel Livi up to second place in the table, eight points ahead of Morton in third with a game in hand. Hardie was instrumental in the run, scoring four goals to take his total tally at the Tony Macaroni Arena to five. The 20-year-old sealed a move to the Championship club until the end of the season during the January transfer window. Victories over Falkirk, St Mirren, Dundee United and Morton and a draw with Dunfermline last month have made Hopkin's side favourites for the runners-up spot, although they remain 11 points adrift of the Buddies at the summit of the table. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/rangers/16081241.On_loan_Rangers_striker_Ryan_Hardie_wins_monthly_award_after_firing_Livingston_up_table/

And they're apparently stupid enough to put it online themselves. An appreciated stupidity.

After a day to get over the disappointment I simply feel more confident we should win in the semi. We were running them ragged for long periods of it and we didn't even play our best. We could easily have scored more and probably just as easily have conceded at least one fewer. I felt on the whole that Dumbele got a lucky bounce for his goal. And at the end of the day even a win yesterday probably wouldn't stop another title win for them but a semi final win definitely knocks another treble on the head.
