  1. Murty is the man who sees them in training all week. We don't so we have to trust his judgement.
  2. And just as I say that Miller denied by the woodwork.
  3. I would have him in ahead of Miller for this game. But I don't pick the team Murty does so he's the only man who could answer the question why.
  4. Difficult to say, despite being sparsely used he's getting more game time than he did at Forest I suppose. But if it comes down to him or Morelos up front I see no way he can dislodge Morelos.
  5. A pity they had to sully a night in which they look to have secured a last 4 place. They appear to know how to beat City. Seems Guardiola even hinted beforehand that he would rather have played anybody else.
  6. I don't see anything wrong with what they did. It's not as if they're deadly rivals operating in the same country and it's not as if they cheered as a crowd does when their own team scores. They simply acknowledged and politely applauded a moment of brilliance from a man who whether we like it or not is a still playing legend of the game.
  7. Apparently even the Juventus fans stood to applaud this despite the fact it was probably instrumental in putting them out of the competition. His second of the game Ronaldo becomes the first man to score in 10 consecutive Champions league matches. They're going to have to build bigger stadiums to accommodate his head. Edited this with a new video link as they quickly took down the first one. The music annoys me in these videos but I suspect it helps to conceal them from the robots scanning youtube looking for such videos to take down.
  8. I don't see why it can't be a possibility next season. We could/should have been champions this season if not for the bizarrely erratic home form.
  9. And he want on to get a second goal to give them a 4-3 win after being 3-0 down. And all that in a cameo appearance after coming off the bench for the final 20 minutes.
  10. Perhaps a cautionary tale? Constant chopping and changing of management is rarely a good thing.
  11. Personally i'm looking for every last man of them to be looking to the next game not next season. There is still too much to play for on more than one front.
  12. Moult came off the bench for the final 20 minutes of last nights match away to Wednesday and scored within 2 minutes of his introduction.
  13. I suppose the positives are that they're the makings of a good team if we can solidify the defence over the Summer. We're still the highest scoring team in this league by a wide margin over all but one of them.
  14. If nothing else I hope it's enough to keep these anti football low lifes out of the top 6. Their kind aren't needed.
  15. Scott Brown is having his testimonial at Celtic Park in the near future, and Ireland have been announced as the opposition. Everything seems in place – except the logic as to why. Nobody quite epitomises Celtic like ‘Broony’ and the club’s former manager Martin O’Neill would be bringing his Irish side to Glasgow as some sort of gesture. As everyone knows, the Derry native is one of Celtic’s most decorated managers, so there is some sort of link, even if it doesn’t quite stand up as credible. The rationale for bringing an international side to Glasgow will be dressed up as a warm-up for the Republic’s games against France and the USA, but in reality, the idea to bring an international side to Parkhead is only to boost attendance figures. It’ll be a combination of Celtic fans singing republican songs and Irish fans pretending they’ve got direct ties to Celtic. A cringe-fest, if you will. Everyone is entitled to their political views, but that level of immersion in Irish republicanism will only do a few things. One of those things is undermining a footballer who has served a football club with relative grace for over a decade. Money has never mattered too much to Brown and his sentiment and affection for the club he’s played for has always been the primary reason for his loyalty. His testimonial should reflect that, but instead Celtic want a PR exercise that will backfire brilliantly. This isn’t an attack on anyone – it’s merely an observation that the most likely explanation is usually the right one. O’Neill shouldn’t be altering a schedule of a national side, regardless of whether or not they’re in the World Cup. That squad, by the way, will include Aiden McGeady. This is the same McGeady who was booed out of the Celtic Park while representing Ireland against Scotland not so long ago. While you can certainly differentiate between Celtic fans and Scotland fans, the point remains that this game has far too many red flags to have been green-lighted. While we’re on this topic – why not play Scotland? If you’re a Scotland international that played alongside Scott Brown, surely, you’d want to play with and against him for a celebration of his career? However, we return to politics. Would Scotland, and its political divisions, unify to honour one of its internationals? You’d like to think so. What should be a great day for Scott Brown, his family, Celtic and his friends will instead be a playground for PR, an example of nonsensical political ties and an international team who should be in the middle of their own training camp instead of jogging around, half-paced. Sure, we’ll have the second leg in Dublin altogether, will we? https://news.paddypower.com/football/2018/03/26/scott-brown-testimonial/
  16. Regarding the accent thing when Brian Laudrup was with us I once saw him being interviewed at the start of a close season and when asked what he was going to do he said "i'm going my hoalidays" which amused me no end.
  17. Moult can't be judged on his time at Preston. He has played a total of 212 minutes there.
  18. Wind chill is a major factor. The day before I was moving to Oklahoma in March 2012 I was in Hamilton town centre changing some pounds into dollars wearing a heavy jumper and jacket on one of those days where it was freezing the ears and any exposed skin off me. It felt so cold I checked the internet when I got home for the local temperature and it said that in my postcode the temperature was 47 faranheit. I have been in 45 faranheit here in Oklahoma walking around in a short sleeved t shirt totally unaffected. The difference in Hamilton was wind chill.
  19. Murty has been given till the end of the season and that's when decisions about the next step have to be made. He could still win the cup and produce another stunning run. Just a couple of weeks ago the concensus appeared to be that he was the man and now after a contrary result it's back to he has to go. We can't be constantly veering all over the place like this because there will always be contrary results. The yahoos just had one when they couldn't beat a team who aren't even in the top 6 and who were down to 10 men for the bulk of the match. And in addition according to reports the non top 6 team were getting the better of them till they went down to 10 men. Anyone seeing any screams for the head of Rogers? Murty has produced some of the best results of the season and it may be the case that we need to give him a close season and the Summer window to truly see where he can take the team next.
  20. I can’t see it had to work today but judging from the stats Killie didn’t come to play.
  21. In my view this is the very root of it, the origin of a them and us outlook. They have been made all manner of offers to end it such as educating them all in the same schools while even having entirely seperate classes but with simply a common entrance to the school. Not good enough, turned it down, don't even want to use the same gate.
  22. Presumably this is a tackle because he had nothing to say about it after a game refereed by Beaton.
  23. If you consider their 2 cup ties with the sheep as draws they have lost only 1 of their last 18 matches which included a defeat of the yahoos. That's impressive form but in saying that I believe we're considerably better than they are and I still expect a comfortable win overall.
  24. He knew exactly what he was doing. And the linesman also knew exactly what he was doing when he raised that arm to give Morelos an elbow in the face.
  25. Another reason we don't need them. They're a financial drain. Ban them, fill all the stands with our own and the policing plus stewarding costs will plummet. It's all win.
