I wouldnt have said this in the last few years since he left, but if he's near where he was when we had him before got it done because we're an embarrasment in terms of forward options right now.

We were 1 dimensional at the weekend but not in the normal way people use this term. Any ball in the air or requiring physical presence was a waste. The opposition didn't have to worry about crosses, we were never going to score from 1. Many wont like this but we need a big man upfront as it gives us options and allows us to play high/long balls if we need to. Not every ball but to mix it up and give the opposition something more to worry about.

With Jela gone and Naisy injured he's probably our best striker. Not a great state of affairs compared to previous season's but if he can do his usual turn in the last part of the season he may help keep us in it.

That's not even semantics. I don't believe we'll win it. But the league is not gone. Those two statements are not mutually exclusive. My beliefs about what will happen in the future have fuck all to do with whether or not the league has gone now. It hasn't.

The League is gone? 1 point, potentially 4 behind. Personally, right now, I dont believe we will win the league. But that's a damn sight different to the league being gone. If the gap was 10 or more points I might agree. But then we had that gap earlier in the season. Things can change.

To the right of the tunnel and a few rows further back from where you will be sitting. Decent view though. Last time I was in the club level (is that what they call it where you get the free drink, programme etc?) behind one of the goals and the view wasn't as good there.

I'm normally one of the more positive posters on here but I dont think either of them are any better than Burke who also blew hot and cold. Dont expect much agreement there but Burke was another who wasnt as bad as made out and has also more than held his own in the Championship which mnay would argue is better than the SPL. They're decent enough and they excite the fans because of their style of play but I would like to see more end product, better decision making and less ball hogging at times.

That's not the case though is it. 2 pages just because someone was being an attention seeker might be more appropriate. There is only one natural conclusion to the intent of that post and frankly it was childish.

Noticed this more in the oppositions box. I was thinking of when a lot of longer balls are played up field it seems to easy for the forwards to win the aeral duels. Timing and attacking headers at set peices may be a different story. Its Jelavic i've noticed recently for winning a lot of headers at defensive set peices.

Dont deny his performances have been a bit better than Jela's. But the big man is still scoring goals to win us games. And whilst Aluko has maybe been a 7/10 performer since he came here, it is magnified by the fact that the team in general have been about a 5. I expect the guys with better quality, like Jela, to come to the fore and their talents would be harder to replace. He's been decent enough (aluko that is) but nothing special that leaves me wondering how we'd replace him. I'm not convinced Coisty would start him when everyone is fit so it's not a great concern replacing what would be a back up player in the summer. Two things he is also suffering from at the minute are poor decision making. I.e. holding onto the ball too much, not releasing at times, wanting to take on one man more. And an inability to hit the byline playing on the right, which he may do if he got a game on the left. The former could be corrected with more game time in any case.

True. But I would not like to see the three mentioned go and would severely doubt our ability to replace them due to our finances and what they bring to the team. That said, I'm considering an on form Jela.

I said that at the start. Naisy, Jelavic, McGregor. Wouldnt be that bothered about anyone else going. Sure there's a number i'd prefer to keep and would even be happy if Aluko stayed as back up. But the rest could and would be replaced imo.

Sebo didn't get longer from me. I'm generally not too bad at giving players time. I was telling people how quality Naismith clearly was even when everyone else apparently didnt rate him 4 years ago. You can see a quality player even when they're off form sometimes. And I think Aluko is decent enough. I'm just not in the "sign him up now" club. He's ok. But he's really nothing special I dont think and we wont overly miss him if he goes. Guys who've left recently like Miller and even Boyd would be tougher to replace. Aluko does improve our squad overall, but what he brings would not be massively missed nor difficult to replace if necessary.

I did expect the site to crash there when I hit agree on Danny's post. Nearly did the same for the second one but didn't wanna push my luck. Fully agree with the sentiments of that second post. This bit about sums it up for me. I wouldn't mind keeping him but I dont see it being a major issue if we dont. I wouldn't say we've missed Weiss and dont think Aluko would be difficult to replace albeit he's a cheap option. Shouldn't be on here, should be concentratin on El Classico. 2 defenders scoring for Barca.
