  1. First reply and frankly it leaves me disappointed that your "represent" Scottish fans BH. No confidence in you or the farce of SD. I didn't think before and certainly dont now think you have a clue what football fans really think. Too much PC bs.
  2. Plays until then with Boyd coming on for the last 15 when Mols has tired the defenders out?
  3. Interesting. I think there needs to be some sort of official ruling here whereby players are not being carded for being assaulted at grounds. Its a farcical situation. I dont know the ins and outs of the law, but if that happened in the street or another work place I would be shocked if the keeper faced any charges or issues from the police and the same should be true in a game of football. Shouldn't be punished for defending yourself, even if you "take it to far" (which I still don't believe he did).
  4. I think it's the victim not the attacker who's health we should be worried about and if the assailant ends up getting a bit hurt with the victim ensuring that they are in no more danger/are fully detering their attacker then that's just fine imo.
  5. He's no John Collins.
  6. Says who? I've seen plenty of fights in the street. Not seen many stop after one hit. A guy comes to attack you and I say you have the right to really deter him from coming back for more. 1 kick wouldn't do that for many. You mention a Tennis player getting stabbed. Could have happened to the keeper after one kick and then stop to see what happens. Also he never "kicked the shit out of him" zappa.
  7. And cups. That QOTS game would have been one of the biggest embarassments in Scottish football had it not been for him.
  8. The Goalie was spot on imo. Self defence and only two kicks on the guy to ensure he didn't want to get up for more. Definitely not excessive force and I would actually have been less restrained in defending myself. Should not get carded for that imo. What are players supposed to do, roll into the foetal position until help arrives?
  9. I cant see this being some sort of mind games. I cant see the management team setting out a weak or defensive team to lure a future opponent into a false sense of security or fooling them of our tactics. Too risky a strategy. The manager will pick the team he thinks gives the best opportunity of winning the game but may perhaps experiment with or two little things and players with a look ahead to a more important fixture.
  10. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straw_man I never said he was a god or anything like that. I just said it's sad that you have to "grudgingly give" him his goalscoring record when not even a tim can "grudge" him it. It is there in black and white.
  11. I still dont and never will get the "grudgingly" part. The bitterness is pathetic imo.
  12. Why? You can't deny it. So strange of a Rangers fan to grudge a Rangers player something that is hardly up for debate.
  13. Wasn't that obvious and the figure that the paper's quote for getting into the CL has no doubt changed?
  14. Was a reference to the figure that was always given for making the champions league group stages. I wasn't being serious.
  15. An I got accused of taking it too seriously.
  16. Current situation - Boyd. All things being equal. Dunno.
  17. If we're to win we need Davis to play well. He is the only midfielder we have who is capable of running that game for us and seeing us dominate the match, create chances and emerge victorious. Makes it all the more galling that he's not contributing. Get the finger out Davis, you're supposed to be (one of our) star performer(s). Start proving it. Premiership class? Lets see it.
  18. About £10 mil, no?
  19. Weir, Ehiogu, Cuellar, Bougherra, Goian, Bocanegra, Wilson and even Bartley and Perry. The quality of centrebacks the current and previous manager has brought through or brought in to the club has been superb and even when we have lost a star performer like Cuellar or Bougherra, the change has been seemless. I said this in another thread a while back but it is possible the biggest difference between the old firm since Smith has been back.
  20. Bit of a cheap shot at Lafferty who scored the winner at the weekend and if he can stay fit will be useful. We're pretty desperate at the minute for forwards and whilst Lafferty is not the best striker in the world he is our best option to partner Jela at the minute. I'd like to see more from him but he's doing ok when staying fit.
  21. If both were available, they would be available at a different cost. Or in this hypothetical situation are we assuming they're both available on a free? Makes a difference.
  22. Am I the only one who doesn't want to see more of Lennon's ugly coupon?
  23. Anderlecht smashed their qualifying group. Was that just because it was easy? Who did they draw?
  24. Aye, gotta assume thats complete bs. WHy even make that up?
