Seems odd Celtic being shown as bottom then.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15472980.stm "That left Rennes sitting bottom of group I" Despite on the side of the story they have the league table with Celtic sitting bottom.

Only 2 first half goals at Ibrox this season apparently. Got to be quite an unusual stat and you have to wonder why we take a while to settle at home?

Celtic reaping the benefits of ref complaints and SFA changes?
Super_Ally replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
I was going to make the comment about not all fouls being equally as deserving of a card, but good to see the OP on FF acknowledging that and also backing it up with last years stats. Does look very odd. Also surprised to see that it was close between the two clubs last year as I always held the (perhaps) misconception that they generally get a free few fouls early on in games against us. The sort of stats that would be all over the airwaves if roles were reversed but would be passed off as paranoia if brought up now.- 11 replies

Kiddyfiddlerstreet - Reaction To Naismith Being Out
Super_Ally replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Whilst I wouldn't wish any of their players ill or revel in an injury i'm not going to pretend to give a fuck if it happens or if they come back. It's different to actively wishing them ill though. -
Arrested for what though?

Two held amid disorder at Celtic match
Super_Ally replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
I think this is the biggest part of it. They genuinely think they should be able to do what they want because normally they are allowed and they kick off if they are not given cart blanche to misbehave.- 32 replies

Two held amid disorder at Celtic match

Ian sort of has a point though. THis isn't the first instance of aggressive mob abuse of the police and preventing the police from undertaking their duties by Celtic fans in the ground. It does appear as if this more anti-social behaviour by Celtic fans is less of a target of the police, media and politicians than Rangers fans arguably less aggressive and dangerous behaviours. Something is definitely wrong here.- 32 replies

On the BBC website they quote Ledley saying they cant afford to drop another point and they've added a headline saying they must win 26 games. Sort of the same thing but also sort of twisting it.

I dont understand. They always claim we are crap. Yet they were supposedly brilliant last year playing with a swagger and free flowing football, yet still lost the league last year. I think they were crap last year, crap this year. No great surprises.
-
Maybe not a good thing, they appear to be coming round to the realisation that they are just crap.
-
Brilliant, we go to Tynecastle and Pittodrie in consecutive weeks (probably our two hardest away games after Parkhead) and come out of it 2 points further ahead. I'd rather they lost this one than the cup game I reckon. Though having said that we'd prob still win the league so maybe the other way round was better. Anyone check Lennon's comments in the build up to this game about how they were coming out of a sticky patch? Just dropped back into it. McCall's Motherwell for 2nd. :spl:

Hibs v Celtic. 1-0 Hibs. Slight Celtic bias to the commentary from what i've been watching. Got a replay of a freekick given to Hibs for an aerial challenge between Ian Murray and a Celtic attacker. Main commentator stating its a free kick to Celtic for Murray grappling with the attacker, not realising the decision had been given in Murray's favour.

Bizarre with all that he has achieved there. First I heard of this was yesterday too. Great shame.

Cant remember if i've seen this posted on here or elsewhere, but what is the deal with Arsenal supposedly settling a £300mil bill for £10mil?
-
I can only assume its down to the monetary costs or the time costs of analysing the data and so they are only monitoring first team players. Its either having a lack of monitors for non-first team players, or not having the time or money to get more man hours to analyse non-first team data. They possibly have one monitor per first teamer and it is easier logistically for analysis purposes to keep one monitor per player as then you always know which player's data you are monitoring as opposed to having to continually monitor who is wearing each monitor each session. May of course be none of the above reasons i'm just guessing based on my experiences with other monitoring systems.

I've seen tims and journos (the same thing? :fish:) suggesting that we will see what happens when Rangers have to deal with injuries and suspensions. Glad we've not had anyone out yet this season then.

If it was Rangers there would definitely be a line or two in any report linking back to a previous season's misdemeanour. Quite why they dont do this too for Celtic I dont know.

Newsnetscotland- Opinions On The BBC - Rangers Related

No reason why you couldn't add to this piece? -
New John Carew? I wouldnt be unhappy with that. But then you get a lot of these daft comparisons. Mostly the other side of the city right enough.
-
Aye, it's not like they had a 9 point lead.

He's obviosuly sick but no time for the sun's self agrandising bullshit either.
