I heard he wants to wear that jacket when he comes on around the 70th minute tomorrow...

The whole tax tribunal has been conducted under the utmost secrecy. Whilst I do expect information to filter out eventually, I doubt it will come from people on message-boards.

No it is them mate. Player accounts are verified by the club.

Suffice to say the guy has been an inspiration to us all during his time at Rangers. A great player, a great captain & a living legend! All the best for the future, Davie!

You should be able to get tickets for any match - no matter when you book them. Not many games are sell outs nowadays. Minimal chance of Celtic tickets though even if sometimes there is a very small public sale. Try and get your tickets for the BF2 section. That way, even if the football isn't top notch quality, you'll enjoy the atmosphere created by the BF1 section.

How would the Old Firm fare in the English Premier League?
Frankie replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
Like the article says it's impossible to know really. There's no doubt the extra finance would help but probably not quick enough to make us competitive in the short-term (even if we went straight into the EPL). To that end, where would be enter the English leagues and how much patience would our support have while we made our way to the EPL? 1 year? 3 years? 10 years? The guy also makes the point that the highest attendances can perhaps be directly attributed to success. Surely that can be applied to us in the SPL also? Would we retain such high figures with higher ticket prices and less chance of winning the title? Initially, I'd agree - long term; I'm not so sure. All in all, I'm not a huge backer of a move to England. I think it would raise more questions than answers though concede if we're to compete in European terms, it may be inevitable. However, by no means would success be guaranteed. -
Very nice mate!

Sorry missed that as I use a different theme. Fixed!

Should help create some debate: http://sport.stv.tv/football/scottish-premier/rangers/293509-transfer-wishlist-rangers/

I guess we are short of experienced cover with Broadfoot injured now as well. However, McMillan has looked capable enough to me and Bartley can also play there so not sure why we need Jaager.

Ad-blocker (Firefox ad-on) mate... Perform definitely do the website - not sure if they're associated with STV but I think the actual website design remit will be different from who supplies the content (where STV are likely to advise).
-
Generally, I quite like the new template but it only looks good when all the ads are removed via a browser add-on. It's annoying that some of the images are still stretched and/or low resolution. Really needs some more loving care to avoid being just another generic template.

Perform do our website - they and Premium TV are now one and the same.

The £2million would come from selling Jelavic. We don't have that kind of money otherwise.
-
I think Weiss was somewhat over-rated as for every piece of magic (and there were several) there was an anonymous display. Typical of most wingers really so not a direct criticism of him. However, what he offered was something different which could change games - he had skill, pace, could beat a man, create chances and score goals himself. Sure, he was inconsistent but, as Aluko has shown, such players can be invaluable. Unfortunately, despite the lad's obvious love of the club, I doubt we'll be able to attract or afford him.
-
We could have a new partnership to be fair. Jelavic may not survive this month, never mind the summer window while if Lafferty doesn't sign a contract extension, I'd fancy he may also be sold in the summer. Healy will also be out of contract this summer.

Interesting to note that Javi Guerra played alongside Francisco Sandaza for the Valencia 'B' team...
-
Yeah, that's a fair point - we will need a player that can hit the ground running so to speak. I just feel there could be a bit of middle ground between an untried youngster and someone who may be past their very best. In saying that, I don't know enough about the player to know if his key forward virtues (such as mobility and pace) are on the wane.
-
A bit of a gamble to sign a 29 year old who'll have next to no sale on value - even if his current record seems pretty good.
-
That's the kind of protection the lads were talking about. Without such membership, I don't think there is any obligation (other than a moral one) for the majority shareholder to disclose such information, publish accounts or hold an AGM. However, in the club statement yesterday, they did say they'd continue to do this.

I think this season has been poor to average at best so far. A double early (and in my mind an unacceptable) exit from Europe, a dreadful defeat to Falkirk and a selection of moribund performances in the league have shown that we lack the genuine quality to compete across competitions. Sure, we can still easily win this league (and cup) and Celtic are really no better either but I was really hoping for more this season - not just from the players and new manager but from the new owner. As it stands we're drowning in a sea of mediocrity and, while there are some genuine reasons for this under-performance, I'm disappointed not to have seen many indications of improvement. No matter, we will follow on but I really want to see more from everyone at the club. Much more.

I don't think the problem started with the BBC until pretty recently - certainly not until after Blue Heaven.

Scottish Cup 5th Round Draw - Rangers v Dundee Utd
Frankie replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Didn't Sandaza score for Utd as well? -
Danny: It just makes it difficult to trade in RFC shares - not that much trading is done anyway. This suspension was to be expected because our accounts remain 'unaudited' due to the outstanding tax case (due to be heard next week). Once the outcome of that is known (most probably around the end of the month) then the accounts can either be audited unqualified (as per normal) or the tax influence noted (which could affect our future as a going concern).
