McKay agrees terms with Rangers - work permit pending
Frankie replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Problem is none of them are actual left midfielders per se. Even Kerkar and McKay are more centrally minded players while Wylde was originally a left-back. I'd love us to re-sign Weiss. The wee man was inconsistent at times last season but he's a great option to have - from the bench as much as anywhere else. -
He's a decent player who has probably improved a little since he left us but I'd rather opt for a younger version than another Premiership has been. Healy and Beattie are enough cart-horses for the time being, thanks.

Linked with Peter Lovenkrands in local Newcastle press....

Quite simply we need to add players to our squad immediately. No excuses.

Like Goian the other week, his d©but timing will depend on when/if he gets a work permit. -

He's on international duty so I wouldn't expect to hear anything until after their game with Wales tonight. -
Technical guru bmck is currently on holiday and will investigate upon his return. Seems to work OK for me though is sluggish from time to time - causing double-posts. Apologies!

I think Hutton is a decent player to have when you need a more defensive outlook. Same with McCulloch. Both offer a solid option in front of the back four in terms of retrieving and recycling possession. The do the dirty work so someone like Davis has the free role (usually in a midfield five). However for most games (domestically at least) where we only need a midfield four, their lack of mobility and creativity means I'd rather go with someone like Ness or Edu to partner Davis. These lads are more creative and can get forward whilst providing the mobility required to defend when required.

He should take up dictation. I believe Martin Bain is looking for a job?

All very nice mate - good work and good luck!
-
Assume he's on holiday mate.

Juhasz or Cuellar I'd fancy - not both.
-
Juhasz is supposedly a fine, fine defender so that will explain the relatively high cost. I think he'll prove his worth over the next few years as he'll be an important part of the team's spine.
-
Hungarian press say Juhasz is hours away from signing for Rangers. Fee agreed, just the contract left to complete.

With respect this article alludes to poor performance from a variety of clubs and the national team over a number of years. As such it's not really accurate to suggest it is a knee jerk reaction to one result.

After another premature exit from the Champions League qualifiers for Rangers, it isn’t just the Light Blues fans that should be embarrassed today but Scottish supporters in general. http://sport.stv.tv/blog/264981-a-cure-for-scottish-footballs-impotence/ Not been online for a few days but thought I'd share this article from STV with you chaps.

In the world of football, are we now classed as a small club?
Frankie replied to Gazza_8's topic in Rangers Chat
Scottish football is under-funded and over-priced which causes much of our problems. Not to mention the fact the mentality in our country combines self-loathing with negativity and takes it to a whole new level. -
Rangers go out of the Champions League despite fine attempt against all the odds in Sweden. http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/2010/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=429:malmo-1-2-1-1-rangers-player-ratings-and-mom-poll&catid=1:articles&Itemid=67 :sd: I thought a few players did well but I feel Davis was our best player for most of the game. Starting to sympathise with him as we literally have no-one else contributing creatively from open play at the moment. Nods to Edu and Ortiz who both played well.

Kyle Bartley has signed a new contract with Arsenal.

Wow! I hope that is true!

Not yet but he will...

John DC Gow - Tribalism pretending to end Tribalism
Frankie replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
That's exactly the kind of pro-active response we should be taken. I'll send it to my local MSP forthwith!
