I think Broadfoot is under-rated and does quite well generally speaking. However, once again he really lacks pace and quality at times. Last night we sat so deep he couldn't be beat for pace which showed he's a decent man-marker who can read the game quite well. Whenever we play a bit higher up the park he looks less secure though and while he's not bad going forward actually, I'd prefer a more mobile player to be used where possible. All in all, the guy serves his purpose of a useful utility player and for that he gets my backing.

Reminds me so much of Bob Malcolm in the way he plays... Looks reasonable enough but we really an injection of pace into our midfield.

Plucky Rangers go down to late penalty at home to well-disciplined Manchester United. http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/2010/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=342:rangers-0-1-manchester-utd-player-ratings-and-mom-poll&catid=35:analysis&Itemid=67 :kb: for me...

There will probably be a couple of smaller displays but I think people wanted to concentrate on the atmosphere itself as opposed to anything else this time. Card displays are excellent spectacles in my opinion but they've been done on so many occasions now, they begin to lose their appeal to a degree.

No probs mate - many thanks!

Regan - "Clearly there are sectarian issues at play,"
Frankie replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Can only agree with Bluedell... Is he suggesting there are sectarian issues within the SFA or related to Celtic's complaints? Bizarre and unhelpful quote. -
Off again to do some parenting today but I'd like to take a minute to thank Barry for his hard work in getting us running smoothly again. Not only does this take a huge amount of patience and technical knowledge, it takes money and time. To have a few hours of issues per year isn't bad going considering our forum and site is free to use and has no ads to detract from your visit. Finally thanks to everyone else for their patience and understanding while these frustrating changes are undertaken.

Remember your predictions folks...

Hmmm it seems we're losing posts now...

Ellis will be coming from the property side of the deal. You only need to walk past the ground to see the area is still ripe for development - although it is open to debate as to what would work in the huge space available. I can't judge him or Whyte as, no matter their business or football background, I don't what their plans are.

At the end of the day we all know SDM will have his opinion and it doesn't matter who puts forward their own recommendation, he will make the decision. We'll just have to like it or lump it.

I don't expect the guy to be Mother Teresa - to be successful in business you need a ruthless streak and not everything will be done as St Peter would prefer. However, I do expect him to be a bit more saintly now that he's dealing with our club and you and me. Sure, stockmarket rules notwithstanding, information may be difficult to divulge but if he's the real deal he will come to us sooner rather than later and I hope his plans are exciting, innovative and prudent given the very trying financial circumstances Scottish football (and British society) are in. Similarly, I urge the Rangers support to be cautious in their opinions as we've been here before with little joy.

Indeed it is difficult to judge anyone's intentions which is exactly why our support should be involved in the decision-making process.

In their wisdom, our wonderful hosts have decided to supply us with a nice new server so we will be migrating to this over the coming days. This is to deal with increased usage and new features etc. As such, there may be the odd bit of missing data and error message while this happens. Please be patient and keep an eye on our Twitter, Facebook and back-up forum for further information in case of down-time. - Twitter http://twitter.com/#!/GersnetOnline - Facebook http://www.facebook.com/GersnetFB - Back-up Forum http://gersnet.proboards.com/

He never - MIH did. Same seems to be the case here... Apparently Rangers have/had a committee in place to oversee any bids but they seem to be consulted after the fact as opposed to during negotiations. Anyone's guess whether or not their opinion counts given SDM owns 91.8% of the club.
-
My bad. Formal negotiations is what I meant of course...

I don't blame you for being cynical. I share in it but am hoping lightening doesn't strike twice (or is it three times?)...

The chances of it happening are certainly debatable but the club and Whyte have now commented officially so there is a bid in place.

You've obviously not been spared any opprobrium either... Unless your advice is wanted on something of course...
