It's actually quite bizarre. Any time we get an offensive set-piece, I'm actually more worried about us not conceding on the counter attack as 9 out of 10 times we give the ball away. Our throw ins are particularly awful. Absolutely no imagination and our technique in most situations is very poor. Crazily, I think everyone knows our corners invariably get past the front post yet we never have a player there. Yet when we do, the likes of Weir, Dailly and Cousin have all scored. Like I say, it's quite bizarre. I'd love to ask Walter about it at the AGM but looking at BD's fantastic accounts breakdown, there are slightly more serious issues on the table...

Remember, they deemed fen!an to be acceptable initially as well. Keep up the good fight.

Tremendous analysis mate. Some worrying trends there and I hope some searching questions are asked within the finance section of the AGM in two weeks time.

I don't think this thread is really going anywhere. Closed! Now, please can everyone get back back to being nice and keeping threads on topic.

Our set-pieces (corners and especially throw-ins) have been abysmal for as long as I can remember. Occasionally we take a good one but that is the exception to the rule.

Great post. Even if there was an element of mischief-making about the Ulster Day, so what? On the day itself, the groups involved carried it off without any sectarianism and the displays looked superb - as was the case with the Oranje Day and the Union/Saltire days we've had previously. Let's not buy into unfair generalisations spread by malicious journalists.

Steven Naismith is also back doing light running... Regarding left back, I think Steven Kinnburgh is just returning from a hernia op as well so hopefully he can push his way into the reckoning over the coming weeks as well. -
Don't know him personally but he has become a bit of an online legend in the last year or so...

At the end of the day it was a nice wee project that resulted in a better match-day experience for all. Nothing offensive, nothing sectarian and nothing to get worked up about. Look forward to the next one.

Strange - can't find anything in the panel for this fault. Bmck will have a look when he gets a chance.

"natural denominational antipathy" I don't think I've read such a fantastic bit of spin since the days of Alistair Campbell.

Seems he's now been arrested again for causing criminal damage... There's only so much sympathy people can have for the fella. He has to want to sort himself out and it seems he quite clearly doesn't.

What about walking 6 yards to spit on opposition scarves? Is that vile? Add in abusing and cheating on the pregnant women in his life, then it shows just how 'remarkable' Lenny is.

Ah, but the ruling is based on perception apparently... Nacho is a catholic but the Celtic supporters will see him as just another DOB. Sectarian irony is surely a PC term? PS: Wonder how they'd explain their 'Whose the fen!an in the blue?' chant they direct at Burke?

I wonder if the person responsible for the threat may actually be spoken to by the police now?

The same argument could be put for the delayed Davis signing. It certainly could argued that the failure to strengthen our midfield has cost us £5-10million but everyone at the club should share the blame - the players in the team that night included.

We could afford Brown. We just didn't want to pay him the wages.

It will be interesting to see what transpires from such a tactic. Positive and constructive action is required to address concerns about certain parts of the media. The BBC certainly appear to lack objectivity as well as parity when discussing said issues. I'd personally like to see the issue debated suitably at the club AGM and support sought from the club and shareholders before further action is investigated.
