The truth is it would be better for Rangers and the vast majority of supporters if Club1872 stopped its embarrassing vendetta and went somewhere very far away where we never had to hear from it again.

Celtic Boys Club manager 'stuffed banknotes in boy's mouth'

Another beast enters Hell. The evil bastard Jim McCafferty dies in prison. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-63802787 -
From what I've read, it seems the first of that serious research is ongoing now, with more to follow. Time will tell what they find. It would be best if they found no attributable link but in all honesty, while it may be a long time coming, I think we all know where this is 'heading'.

Gersnet World Cup 2022 Prediction League - Matchday 3
Bill replied to Rousseau's topic in Rangers Chat
I thought it was open and competitive, with the result in doubt right to the end. Maybe you were disappointed neither team was perfect. -
He's just in the door and has no choice but to get the best out of the players he has inherited ... be honest, what do you expect him to say?

Looks like he has your number anyway 🤣

Gersnet World Cup 2022 Prediction League - Matchday 3
Bill replied to Rousseau's topic in Rangers Chat
Been watching the USA v Iran game which turns out to have been a good decision -
It seems it’s very early days but sufficient correlation has already been established to justify further, more detailed research. In the end though, it’s likely decisions will be taken on the balance of evidence and health will always trump sport. Science will have no problem establishing a link, if one exists. The issue will be proving causality between heading and dementia, although that may not be necessary for certain decisions to be taken.
-
I don’t understand what that means but I’d be surprised if no link can be established. I need to look into it.

The best was Lineker asserting his blackness 😂 They’re beyond ridiculous -
I think researchers will be well aware of that.

I hope for the day when BBC pundits don’t start every sentence with “I fink”. -
Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

I prefer "our away form in 2022 was pretty awful". We blamed GvB and called for him to go. He's gone. If we were right, things will improve.

We really must be spooked if we're afraid of a trip to Perth now.

Rangers 'sued for £1.6m' over Sydney Super Cup withdrawal
Bill replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
I still can't believe the stupidity involved to signing up to this in the first place. -
Much as I dislike saying this, if a direct causal link between heading a football and developing dementia is clearly established then it would be callous beyond measure to advocate for retaining heading in the game. Some things are far more important than football.

But is there any indication that fans have evolved accordingly? 😉

Agreed. The next round of ST renewals be a challenging spend for some, especially if results don't pick up in a big way. To be fair, we have no idea if the board is being proactive or not, or what it might be doing in that sense, and it's hardly a surprise if they are compelled to keep much of it close to their chests. I'd also like to see the board setting out a clear pathway for the club but I understand why that isn't always possible. While calling out for communication, a couple of hours at a board meeting might be more of an education than many fans want to receive. My guess is that the next year (and possibly much less than that) could see a significant change of ownership at Rangers and, if so, it's only to be expected that everything the board says and does will be affected by that, particularly where spending is concerned.

The most controversial moment in World Cup history?

I'd forgotten all about Clive Thomas, what a silly man he was. -

Referees under limited circumstances should be allowed to pepper spray players who dive and protest their innocence. -
But the Russians and Chinese aren't there.

Doesn't everyone?

You'd think we might eventually learn from these previous mistakes. What is it with these continual assertions of rights and freedoms that no one has ever challenged. Everyone should indeed be free to be futile.

There is no good or bad choice of manager, certainly not on the day he assumes the position. There isn't even an underwhelming choice, despite the valiant efforts to try to imbue this concept with apparent wisdom. Those epithets can only ever be applied once the manager has a meaningful track record in the job to be examined. There are really only reasonable and unreasonable choices and I think Michael Beale is a reasonable appointment as manager. We'll see much later on whether he has been a good choice. In the meantime, anyone leaping into further judgement must have some other axe to grind. A bit like the endless crucifixion of Ryan Kent by certain Gersnet experts.
