The Summer 2021 Rangers Transfer Window Rumours and Deals - Thread
Bill replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
Rumour that Rangers are talking to representatives of Moi Gomez of Villareal -
I think you're right. What we're seeing is a deranged spite, born out of anger and pain.
-
The rush into hysteria is astonishing, even for a rabid shithole like Scotland. If they haven't done so yet, I can almost guarantee someone in the media is about to overstep the mark and find themselves on the end of a very expensive defamation case.

It's such a familiar reaction to Rangers success that no one can be surprised at recent events. What is more worrying is the clear coordination between the SFA, government, media and police .... who now express their bigotry like a well-practised barbershop quartet. This is a direct consequence of SNP policy to centralise and control every aspect of public life. The only thing missing here is Bearger denouncing the Rangers support and defending the integrity of Sturgeon and Yousaf.
-
You're wasting your time trying to question Humza Yousaf's suitability as a government minister. Other than a thin veneer of pretence, Yousaf isn't there to be a serious politician. He's little more than a cheap gangster, afforded the platform of politics to pursue personal bigotries, which mainly centre on barely-concealed islamism shored up with an absurd allegiance to Irish republicanism. In that aspect, he's emblematic of much of the SNP following. It's a strange paradox that people like Yousaf, steeped in bigotry, should try so hard to tar Rangers with the same brush. Rangers, a club that has transformed itself over the last 15 years into the most inclusive club in this country.

I'm not so sure Cammy, it strikes me as carrying a quietly threatening tone, both to those who perpetrated to scam and also those who rushed to accept it as genuine.

The bigger our success the bigger the reaction from the haters. It’s the biggest concoction since Manchester when 200,000 gathered, 11 were arrested and the news was full of condemnation fir what happens every Saturday night in Manchester.
-
It’s recognition for the whole season, not a game or a month. On that basis I can’t see past Connor Goldson. For me, he’s the main reason we lifted that trophy.
-
It all seems orchestrated out of all proportion. Many thousands gathered with alcohol to celebrate. Some lost the plot as some always do. It’s what always happens and certainly isn’t unique to Rangers or football. We’ve seen the same and worse from BLM, Extinction Rebellion, pro-Palestine, anti-Trump, etc and all without the carefully coordinated statements being broadcast today. I’m not excusing any violent behaviour and anyone involved in it should be prosecuted but neither do I accept the clearly choreographed condemnation I’ve seen today. There’s one set of standards for Rangers and another for everyone else - you know it, I know it, they know it. I believe I see it for what it is and, while I’m annoyed by it, I’m neither surprised nor distracted from the club’s tremendous achievements.

Of course, the end of one journey is merely the beginning of another. Let's go!

I hope the players, staff and directors have a wonderful night. For what they've given the fans this season and for reminding us what following Rangers is all about, they deserve the thanks of all of us. -

Ryan Kent is a very special player, worth every penny paid. Always reminds me of Willie Johnston -

Roofe is struggling so far. Doesn’t seem to be at it at all. Strange considering recent form -
So here the journey really does end, nine years after the clubs in the SPL and SFL took an unnecessary decision to put the country's foremost club in it's place and share the kudos of lording it over the "bigheads and bigots" at Ibrox. No one will ever convince me that what Rangers was put through was motivated by anything other than envy and bigotry, nowhere more so than amongst the Scottish nationalist and pseudo-Irish communities. There should be no doubt either that many of those who pulled the rug out from under us were quite prepared to see Rangers extinguished altogether. You just know that after nine years of struggle and disappointment, there are still many in Scottish football who see this, our day of glory, as their failure and a profound disappointment. You might think this is a day of renewal and forgiveness when we should put the past behind us but I think not. If there's one thing we should never forget as we enter a new era for Rangers, it's the fact that those we have to share this league with and those who administer the game are the same people and clubs who would have destroyed our club. For me, that day nine years ago ended any respect I had for the rest of Scottish football and that's a fence that will never be mended. You might like to think there are one or two who will see the league trophy raised at Ibrox and feel a tinge of guilt or remorse .... but I doubt it. Enjoy the day, celebrate to the full, it's been a very long time coming. But never lose sight of why we went through all that pain and for God's sake don't be the people who line up to criticise bears who want to take to the streets to mark what is our equivalent of reaching the summit of Everest.

Holy smoke, we're drowning in sanctimony here. Who knew Instead of the "we know what's good for you" moralising where none is due or wanted, how about just relaxing and letting people decide for themselves. Those who want to gather in George Square should do so and accept the consequences fo their actions. Those who don't can do something else. No one is being coerced into marching or gathering and no one should be dissuaded either.

If ever there was a justifiable reason for mixing only with white people, the vaccine uptake figures are it. That should trigger a predictable response.

One tribe of vermin supporting another tribe of vermin. Rodents of the world unite. Born in bigotry, raised on shite.
