  1. Has anyone who complained to RTV even had an acknowledgement?
  2. Maybe one day Rangers fans will create a new set of common identifiers and stop endlessly defending and fretting over a past that has largely disappeared.
  3. Only its obvious from what we've seen and read over the last 15 years or so that a fair number are not going to cut it out. Even after the UEFA closure was announced we have plenty of our own supporters focussing only on their perceived injustice vis-a-vis Celtic and ignoring totally their own role in acquiring this punishment. I've been known to drag my own heels over the years but this time change simply has to happen, no matter how many fans have to be sacrificed to achieve it. And losing what is a relatively small number of fans is exactly what it's going to take. Every surveillance effort has to be made to identifying individuals or groups who refuse to conform and, when identified, they must be dealt with as severely as possible.
  4. I’ve been reading for years there are 20 or so English league clubs in danger of folding. Some do doubt have passed via relegation into non league football but Bury and Bolton May only be the tip of the iceberg.
  5. I can tell you for 100% there are no days off during the making of a deal.
  6. Is criticising Goldson or Katic going to be a feature of every thread from now on? Give it a rest guys, they're both our players and undermining their confidence like this is as stupid as it's tedious.
  7. The UB statement is typically childlike and shallow. They wallow in self-pity and blame everyone except themselves. The clear implication seems to be "we're special, why is no one rushing to say so?" My view is that if this is how they approach this issue we'd be better off without them. I won't miss them or their songs.
  8. The club should monitor that part of the ground and if these songs are confirmed to come from there then close that part of the ground for 4 games. If it continues, rescind all STs and replace from the waiting list. Some innocent people will suffer, so what. Big picture time.
  9. You have to laugh. Is that really how they get their kicks? Wankers.
  10. The media obsession with Rangers and catholics is a bit pathetic. They're so out of date. Catholics in Scotland no longer bring thoughts of dissident terrorists in Ireland. Similarly, orange strips are just that - orange - and only generate thoughts of protestantism in the heads of media people. These days, catholicism is more usually associated with child abuse, sexual deviancy and political corruption. If only our media could bring themselves up to date on that.
  11. Looking at the voting so far, I've clearly misunderstood the basic premise of MOTM. If someone can be MOTM for a single kick of the ball over 96 minutes of play, during which he contributed almost nothing, then any of our players and subs could have been MOTM. It goes without saying goals are important, as are goalkeeper saves or key passes or tackles, but surely MOTM is an accolade that should reflect a performance over the breadth of the match and the overall contribution to the team.
  12. I was actually wondering why Borna Barisic was still on the park and then he did that. Great goal but his overall contribution today was pretty poor. It wasn't our best performance but I thought Tav continued to improve and Helander did well, while Scott Arfield showed good invention around the penalty area. However, at the risk of sounding like a stuck needle on a broken record, the best player on the park yet again was ... Ryan Jack.
  13. Thankfully no problems here. They wouldn't dare after the email I sent them on Thursday evening!
  14. The only answer is for Rangers to stop accepting ANY tickets for away games.
  15. What's wrong with Kumbaya anyway?
  16. Good to see Helander getting a start. Naturally it was Katic who made way for him .... Goldson is a god after all ?
  17. Is anyone on there attending the game today? It would be interesting to see an honest opinion of the away support reaction to the UEFA judgement - defiance or compliance?
  18. This could be the last stand for Borna Barisic. If he turns in another display of passing backwards and hiding on the touchline then he needs to go.
  19. What we need is a supporters organisation worthy of the name, not some quasi-corporate equity platform.
  20. On the contrary, the answer is incredibly simple. The problem is persuading people to implement it.
  21. I'd have to be watching it to comment ... and since football is a generally total borefest unless you have skin in the game, the chance of me watching Italian, German, French, Spanish or any other version of UEFA's money trough is somewhere between none and sfa.
  22. How will questioning authority keep the stands open at Ibrox? It might make you feel better but it's clearly going to sink the club. By all means question authority but if that means defying UEFA then we're all fucked.
  23. Singing! I mean, bloody singing? Are people really prepared to see the club damaged because they can't contain their compulsion to sing? When it comes down to it, what the fuck does singing really have to do with football? If it's so important to you then do it in the shower, go to church, join a choir ... but don't drag the club through the mire because you feel you have to sing.
  24. I just think this whole debate about Goldson/Katic is utterly pointless and in most cases based on hollow arguments. This is how scapegoats are made and we know how fond some of us are of our scapegoats. It's always an unedifying sight when someone tries to justify their personal preferences by basing them on "evidence" that simply doesn't exist. Sometimes you can try too hard.
  25. Given the same people were singing the same songs in Warsaw I guess we can assume the next level of punishment is already in the pipeline. Until and unless this is sorted out I would recommend accepting no away tickets, either in domestic or European games. This is surely the only way the club can try to dissociate itself from the morons. It's beyond clear now that this isn't going away without being enforced and, regrettably, at Ibrox there needs to be draconian action against those who continue to spoil things for the rest of us. We need properly trained stewards or club representatives seated appropriately among selected parts of the support with a view to expelling/excluding enough troublemakers to make a permanent difference. I'd also get rid of the whole BF1 "singing section" at the next ST allocation and redistribute them across the stadium.
