  1. Who for example? I haven’t seen anyone asking for that.
  2. Gerrard has brought in players who are taking the team to a new level. It’s hardly surprising therefore that some players who were previously leading our charge should now see themselves challenged to keep up. At least three of last season’s first team regulars are struggling to maintain previous form in current company. That’s how improvement announces itself.
  3. In our heyday, Scotland appeared regularly at tournament finals for the ritual act of failure, occasionally elevating this to full blown humiliation, much like Celtic in the Champions League. Since then we’ve had the decency to restrict our embarrassment to the countries in our qualifying group, which is surely the sort of progress the SFA so richly deserves, occupied as it is with a domestic agenda against its largest member club.
  4. Thank God. I was concerned it might have been Pete Wishart.
  5. Exactly. I also couldn’t tell you who the Scotland manager is. Edit: who is it btw?
  6. That’s the point though. Unless it represents the whole of Scottish football, without prejudice or favour, then it can hardly be the football team of Scotland.
  7. Support for what? SFA prejudice?
  8. McPake plays for Rangers. There's no chance Scotland will be interested in him. Richard Gordon wouldn't wear it.
  9. I think the poster eventually realised that while Sheridan is a boorish, Celtic-supporting thug, he's also a vocal proponent of the independence movement.
  10. If Celtic consider McGuire's statement to be so "defamatory", you have to wonder why they're not pursuing a remedy through the courts? But of course we all know why they never will. The pig can grunt and squeal but it will never fly.
  11. Classic nationalist. Full of fetid bullshit.
  12. Talking of central casting, you should have seen the riff raff loitering in Aberdeen today. Every washed-up extra from Brigadoon was there, giving it the full 14th century grunt. Sooo embarrassing.
  13. NURSE!!!
  14. I absolutely love these articles. There's so much to learn about Rangers, so much that would be lost without people like The Moonlighter bringing it to the attention of the current generations of fans. I would like to think these articles are shared across all Rangers websites.
  15. True. Caution adopted.
  16. I don't understand it. This is a team brimming with players from Richard Gordon's team of the year. How will Richard explain this fall from grace?
  17. I'd love to see how our management team rates players after each game.
  18. Every time I watch Alfredo this season I'm convinced Gerrard has had him spend the summer on a psychologist's couch, in a manner of speaking. The difference in his demeanour and his reaction to being fouled is huge. He looks a much more confident and happy player, without having lost an inch of his ability. It says a lot for our management team that they've steered his attitude in so positive a direction.
  19. While much has improved, I've got to agree with this. Seems to me it's been some time since both fullback positions performed well at the same time. I'll also risk criticism by suggesting Andy King might be necessary cover in midfield, where really good recent performances seem incapable of being continued throughout 90 minutes. Every game seems to have a spell where we lose control of the ball and our momentum drops significantly.
  20. As a spectator I find it difficult, if not impossible, to identify honest or lazy mistakes. To do so would require a level of telepathy that I don't possess.
  21. That's more like it. I also thought both centre backs played well. If anything any weakness was more apparent in our fullbacks. For whatever reason, Tav still hasn't fired on all cylinders yet but is slowly getting there, while Flanagans is never going to spend time breaking down the left wing and putting over crosses.
  22. I though Davis did well at times but faded badly as the game entered the final quarter and was caught in possession more times than is healthy. As for Jack, the loss of control of the ball after he went off probably suggests he's currently the keystone of our midfield, not Davis.
  23. Unless we already know someone else is moving out?
  24. I think the statement is weak and ineffective. It comes across as a series of observations and avoids any tone of condemnation. Suggesting someone should reconsider their words is NOT the same as demanding an apology for deliberately misrepresenting the facts.
  25. Tav should do what's best for him and his family. If he can get a berth in England that doubles his salary or better then he'd be crazy not to take it, whenever it comes. As I've seen a hundred times in the past, we will move on and the hole he leaves will be nowhere as big as we think.
