It’s funny how quality of catering can be inversely proportional to the size of the club. A couple of weeks ago I watched Cove Rangers at Peterhead and the catering was superb, as was the service and accessibility. Great value for money. Then we have Ibrox where you can queue forever and pay a small fortune for inedible crap.

Tbh, I started out with the assumption that Barasic is the better player but when you actually think about it he almost never shows evidence of it. I don't know what's holding him back but his play is so inhibited that his actual contribution always disappoints. I'm staggered that Andy Halliday is still at Rangers but by the same token when he plays he almost always delivers. I'd rather have an effective journeyman than a master craftsman who never turns up.

It was interesting yesterday to see the uplift in threat level when Morelos came on. For all his flaws of temperament, I simply have to put him in my preferred starting line up ... if he stays. Conversely, it's hard to see what Barasic brings to the team that Halliday doesn't do better and I've relegated him.

From what I've seen so far .... McGregor Tavernier - Helander - Edmundson - Halliday Jack - Kamara - Docherty Arfield - Aribo Morelos

I get nervous when we start talking about average players in terms of "must have". They mostly never deliver as much as we think. I'm all for Ryan Kent having a role at Ibrox but only at reasonable cost, never at the expense of funding the wider squad of players. -

Another useful workout but we need competitive games now. Katic looks really good. It’s going to be tough picking our best central defence. Docherty shone, Kamara redeemed himself in the end. I liked the look of Polster in that role. -

Davis and Kamara are not enjoying their best game in a Rangers shirt. Very disappointing. -

Tavernier, Davis and Arfield - all the rest are changed from the Progres game. It’s going to be interesting to see how the pairing of Katic and Helander cope against decent opposition. -
The official website has a facility that allows you to book parking in the Albion car park on a match by match basis. This is ideal for me .... except that this particular feature of the club’s website NEVER FUCKING WORKS!!!! I will I’ll be pointing this out ... again.

I’m grateful for the lecture but was he attacked in the sense any normal person would understand it ... or is this just waffle on a slow news days?

Was he attacked? Does some moron shouting abuse count as an attack?

I assumed he was talking about me. I’ve been clean since leaving that particular website over 12 years ago. Has it changed, should I go back, what am I missing? -
Damn right it is. One game played and already equalled the entire home points total of last season. ?
-
I only watched twenty minutes of the first half but if our youngsters gained useful experience then it has to be a useful exercise, particularly if they were playing against older lads

But what about Lossiemouth? #flyingstart

Absolutely right. ?

Let’s say 5000 seats at £450 per season ticket = £2250000 per season assuming all are sold (which they probably wouldn’t be). Over ten years that’s over £22m additional income less the initial capital outlay spread over the period and any financing charges applicable. Whether this makes financial sense depends largely on the cost but tbh 5000 seats hardly seems worth it unless it can be done quickly and at reasonable cost.

Finally a club has gained promotion to the SPFL system. It's a bit of farce of a system that's left the Highland League a club short and (presumably) the Lowland League with a club too many. Nevertheless, it's progress of a sort. I went to see Cove at Peterhead a couple of weeks ago. They were the better team on the day, despite losing 2-1 and I thought they would have no trouble holding their own at this level. After a draw with ICT, Cove might even be favourites to get back-to-back promotions. The Rangers from Aberdeen. Who'd have thought?

Directors have what's called a fiduciary duty to act in the interests of the company they act for. However, defining what is in the interests of the company at the time of acting can be difficult to achieve and can often be more subjective than objective. It's easier to identify a breach of duty if the director wilfully breaks the law of makes some clear cut move that is obviously and deliberately intended to disadvantage his company, usually for personal gain. Whether Llambias or Somers stepped over the line is a question I couldn't answer.
