  1. A Rangers radio service would want to be available to all and not just by subscription. I’m not sure how you achieve that.
  2. Someone at Rangers should be using the next presser to express disquiet at past refereeing and saying "measures" are now being taken to deliver the closest independent scrutiny of games involving certain referees.
  3. ... who was making his return after months in hiding after being caught lying about decisions made against Daniel Candeias. Trying to excuse him by claiming mere incompetence is in itself unacceptable.
  4. I'm not sure it's in the best interests of this website to be calling people "fraudsters".
  5. The real question here is why doess South Ayrshire Council feel it is their role to decide who flies what flag, or where? The extent to which councils and other public bodies have invaded our lives is unacceptable. They've gone from servants of the public, paid by the public, to dictatorial, interfering bullies. This flag should be no concern of the council. If they've really nothing better to do, someone should hand them shovels and point them at some potholes.
  6. I think Comical Ali is actually their CEO ... and bizarre is about right. Why do they bother?
  7. I was getting excited about the new season starting ... then you mentioned Willie fucking Gollum.
  8. The point about having our own radio commentary is an excellent one. I think it could be key to future relationships with the BBC.
  9. Of all clubs, we should know the consequences of gambling with European income. Are you really suggesting we learn nothing from the past 8 years?
  10. We do know the financial details set out in the clubs annual accounts and they quite clearly demonstrate that without a significant player trading surplus we simply cannot pay our way. Where's the ambiguity in that?
  11. Well done again Vanguardbears. Keep it up, you might be a lone voice sometimes but all credit for not allowing this to rest.
  12. They've got as much chance of filling their stadium without Rangers as Aberdeen do.
  13. I think the club needs the money, no matter how badly the team needs the players. With our merchandising income hobbled by SD and the European trough more and more difficult to access, we simply have to boost our income by whatever means is open to us - and right now that means selling our best players.
  14. Isn't it strangely predictable how few complaints are ever made about the proliferation of Palestinian and Catalan flags that seem to be everywhere you look in Scotland. But put up a Union flag and you're up to your neck in offendedness. Honestly, it was such a bad idea to ban handguns in this country.
  15. Having plastic pitches in our top division just sums up the amateurish nature of those running the game in Scotland.
  16. I did. Feel much better now ?
  17. That must make half of Holland & Canada and three quarters of America tacky too.
  18. All joking aside, it's common knowledge that the BBC has a deliberate and long-standing policy that it is never wrong. Even in disputes such as the recent farce involving Sir Cliff Richard, where the BBC lost its arse in court and was roundly condemned by the judge, the BBC admitted no fault and was still denying it had done anything wrong at the same time it was handing over squillions in damages. If anyone thinks the BBC is about to admit fault where Rangers is concerned then they need urgent therapy. The people at BBC Scotland know exactly what they're doing with respect to Rangers but will always deny it, no matter what happens. This is why I suggested in post #6 above that expecting to influence the situation by highlighting BBC bias to a few Rangers fans is as futile as it's possible to be. You can collect and compile evidence until the end of time itself, just so long as you realise it will not make one iota of difference.
  19. Excuse me, as someone who's fully woke I'm obliged to be offended by everything.
  20. A couple of years ago I drove into Dunbar from the west and saw a house near the main road with a Union flag and a Rangers flag on poles mounted on the front wall of the house. I remember thinking it must be a really hard bastard who lived there to have the confidence no one was going to touch them. Taking offence at flags certainly offends me.
  21. I hope you’re right. Few things would do this country more good than abolishing the tv licence. The BBC is a basket case in Scotland but I think the entire organisation is miles past it’s sell by date.
  22. Prospects for the season ahead? I expect us to get off to a slower start than we'd like and the clocks will have gone back before we settle to any consistency. I think Celtic will go into an early lead and it won't be until after New Year that we begin to peg them back, with us only clinching number 55 in the last couple of weeks of the season.
  23. I wonder when, if ever, Rangers and its support will move from describing the landscape to finding a way across it? Correct me if I'm missing something but, as far as I can see, things are no better and probably even worse than they were two years ago. The BBC looks fully committed to its current relationship with Rangers. Discussion of the issue remains hidden within the confines of the Rangers community and essentially invisible to the rest of society. For the avoidance of doubt, I don't advocate Rangers should back down in any way at all but for all the torrent of words devoted to documenting the BBC's obvious bias, not a single thing has or is likely to change as a result. If we want the BBC to adopt a different attitude then perhaps we first need to do so too.
