  1. Young Turks for me. 😀
  2. Two cracking finishes but also a lot of little value. Brighton will want a decent sized fee. No, unless there's a big improvement in overall play.
  3. Lammers shows effort but I think it's fair to say the lad looks substandard. He looks like a USV Hercules player to me.
  4. Few times a midfielder or forward had the ball and instead of looking for a forward pass, they immediately turned back. Seems to be part and parcel of modern football but we need to be a bit braver, particularly against teams like Livvy.
  5. Much better but still not nearly clinical/incisive enough. Cifuentes looks good at times and poor at others. Lammers looks like this is a level above him. I though Tav and Yilmaz worked hard and Sima had a decent game.
  6. Frankie's crystal ball strikes!
  7. By lazy, I mean the ex-Rangers aspect. The board know they'll get a large percentage of the support on side with it (same goes for Beale).
  8. I thought GVB and Beale were lazy appointments. GVB did well in the EL but struggled domestically. Beale started off okay but this season things have definitely taken a turn for the worse. I doubt many of us had seen much of Lammers, Dessers and co, so any joy at their signings was more down to optimism than knowledge.
  9. When paying respects to a Rangers great, is there really any need to criticise a current player? Plenty of room for that elsewhere.
  10. I know how you feel. Watching Rangers just now is a form of punishment.
  11. I've only ever heard good things about Forrest. He was still attending Rangers matches long after he left the club. It seems some rash decisions were made after the Berwick debacle.
  12. Usually about 10-15 minutes for me. Mind you, if you read around various Rangers forums, most people seem ready to blow a gasket after about 30 seconds of each and every match. 🤣
  13. It's a bit mental.
  14. Maybe we can have a two pronged attack on the manager and the board. We might need to keep another stake handy for the players though. I think recent booing has let them all know what we think. Not nearly good enough. There are short, medium and long term fixes needed but I think it's best to focus on the short term one first, as support will start falling away if the football doesn't improve.
  15. The injuries are fair racking up.
  16. I don't think the board publicly stating their requirements would do much good. If they stated the requirement is to win the league, they could wait until It's mathematically impossible before sacking him. Replacing the board is virtually impossible. Replacing Beale isn't.
  17. Gersnet says we stick with him. None of us seem to know what the board think (maybe they're happy with him or maybe they're working hard to bring in a new manager). I can't believe he's still here.
  18. If we stick with Beale, our ambitions are way below that level of success.
  19. There's always an element of luck involved when it comes to managerial appointments. The Souness 'revolution' directly benefited from the English club ban from European competitions. Any new Rangers manager has to deal with the EPL completely dwarfing Scottish football, so those halcyon days of 1986 and 9 in a Row are long gone, as are the days of players training at Gullane Sands, Super Ally, John Greig booting opposition players up in the air and all the rest. Winning domestic titles should be our number one priority. We don't need a revolution for that - we just need a good manager and some better players.
  20. Considering Souness had no managerial experience and ended up a dud at Liverpool, it could be argued Holmes got lucky with that appointment. Maybe we should look for another ex-Liverpool midfielder rookie manager. Shame Xabi Alonso is already doing well. Wonder what Vladimir Smicer and Patrik Berger are up to these days?
  21. Anyone got any 'sack the board' banners handy then?
  22. People seem keen to delay the inevitable.
  23. I've never booed the team, just for the record.
  24. I think the booing is justified at the minute. The Rangers support have shown unwavering loyalty, despite all the crap we've had to endure in the past eleven years and the current performances and results are a disgrace. Most of us have had it with Beale and that isn't going to change. I think he's way out of his depth and it's time either he or the board accepted that and make the necessary change(s) before another league title is lost.
  25. Their players and coaches can be signed up without us becoming part of the franchise.
