  1. I thought we played okay today. Could and should have scored more. We don't seem to be getting away with some of the defensive lapses that we did last season. Definitely need to sharpen up at the back - I'm hoping we won't have to continue swapping Helander for Balogun every week.
  2. I'd have went with Aribo, Morelos and Roofe up front, with Hagi, Davis and Kamara in midfield. That starting eleven should beat Ross County comfortably though.
  3. Roofe was terrific against Dunfermline and can't play in Europe, so I'm disappointed to see him on the bench. I'd also prefer Hagi in midfield (rather than Aribo) but we'll have to wait and see who plays where.
  4. I don't usually pay much attention to the line-up but it'll be interesting to see who starts today. Kent is likely to start, as Wright has a knock. Will Bacuna be available/ready? Hopefully we don't go down the 'get it wide and send in hopeful balls' route and instead try to get to the byline or play quick passing through the middle.
  5. I can't wait to see the team run out in lilac. ? In all seriousness, just win.
  6. I get you but that's part of the reason I'm losing interest in football. Souness, John Brown and Ian Ferguson wouldn't last five minutes nowadays. Football was too vicious before I was born but it's far too soft nowadays. Diving around like a fanny (cheating) is fine but grab someone by the scruff of the neck and you're off. Lundstram got sent off because of his dithering. Don't lose the ball and there's no need to clip the lad from behind.
  7. FARE will be after you for that comment.
  8. Kent will return to form at some point but if other players are playing better, they deserve a start. It should be a meritocracy. I voted for Bassey btw. Thought he was terrific for the full match. As an aside, I loved the way Arfield flung their best player to the ground near the end. We could do with more of that sort of attitude when things aren't going well.
  9. I've just had a worrying thought: We can't wear our home or away strip on Sunday so, unless the white fourth top is ready, we'll be wearing lilac again.
  10. Good decision making. Don't want filth like that at the home of Scotland's most successful club anyway. ??
  11. Should be another 800 tickets or thereabouts available for the yahoo game, as they aren't getting any. ?
  12. And it's a 4pm kick off.
  13. Kent has always had dips in form. Some fans just seem to forget about them though. He was awful for spells last season, so much so that I couldn't believe SG persisted with him. Lundstrum's form is a bit of a worry. Possibly a Joey Barton/Shane Duffy thing going on (played in the EPL and probably think Scottish football will be a walk in the park). Now is the time for leaders to stand up - SG, Tav, Goldson, Davis and Defoe, get it sorted.
  14. You could make a clips YouTube video of any professional footballer and make them look like a world-beater. It's called editing.
  15. Just back. A strange game - we look short of confidence and several of our better players are off form. Bassey had a good game and Hagi kept at it. Morelos took his goal well but should've scored the header too. Does Goldson close his eyes when he gets into the opposition box? Kent should've scored too. Lundstrum needs to wake up. Sort of satisfied with a win, in the circumstances but overall that simply isn't good enough.
  16. I'm looking forward to tonight's match - never seen a team from Armenia before. Hopefully the performance is more like Dunfermline than Malmö, although I think Roofe and Kamara's suspensions might be problematic. Does anyone know what's going on with Sakala? I hope it's a big crowd and the support get behind the team. I expect us to win but it might not be as easy as some of us seem to expect.
  17. Aye, it's the final qualifier for the EL group stage.
  18. RTV only tomorrow night (not on Premier Sports this time), for those unable to attend.
  19. Did you see our bench at Tannadice?
  20. Given the Ryan Jack injury situation, I still think we need another midfielder.
  21. It's all went rather quiet on the transfer front. It's good that there aren't any leaks and we're going about our business quietly but I'm still expecting a major sale, after Malmö.
  22. Rangers should set out to win the domestic treble every season. Of course the league is always the top priority and doing well in Europe is more important than ever, due to the financial rewards but still...
  23. Neither is staying for a full match, apparently.
  24. Decent draw. Ties to be played late in September, so not a pressing concern but winning a cup is becoming a bit of a priority.
  25. I voted for Roofe too - he adds a real swagger to the side.
