Jermaine Jenas was going full pelt this evening. England fully deserved their win. I thought Germany looked out of sorts. I've predicted a Sweden win in the 8pm game, so no doubt Ukraine will win.

I forgot to mention my one gripe with last night's (otherwise) pleasurable viewing... Can someone tell co-commentators that moments of silence are okay. Emma Hays and McCoist just say the same things over and over and over and over. I think tonight's matches will be much tighter. But my predictions are clearly not very good.

Excluding Rangers wins, that was the most enjoyable evening of football I have ever witnessed. Loads of goals, terrific football, daft mistakes, penalties, passion and fans back in stadiums. Loved every minute of it.

I bought the Umbro '72 style top when we were demoted but never wore it. The last top I bought before that was the orange Diadora one. Bought a couple of kits for my son (9) but he's showing no interest in football, so doubt I'll buy a new shirt again. The yahoos quite often have gold on their strips, which says it all.

The club have announced season tickets have sold out again, which is great news. MyGers members will be prioritised entry whilst attendance restrictions remain in place (not so great news but understandable).
