  1. Tonight he has been named Honorary President. http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/9324
  2. Must admit these things are quite exciting, had forgotten about the butterflies before a game. One good result away from our target.
  3. Loan Agreement RANGERS International Football Club PLC is pleased to announce that it has entered into a loan agreement with New Oasis Asset Limited for facilities totalling £1.5m. This money is available to be used for group purposes. As is the case in the arrangements agreed in March with Douglas Park, George Letham and George Taylor for a similar amount no interest or fees are to be charged in respect of the facilities. This loan, with New Oasis Asset Limited, the vehicle through which Dave King holds his interest in the Company, is being provided on an unsecured basis. These loans will provide the Company with time to deliver a longer-term funding strategy and the parties providing these loans to the Company have advised that they intend to convert them to equity when the opportunity arises. http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/9345
  4. Interesting stuff.
  5. I backed King etc. to overthrow the last Board. Do I trust King ? To be honest not 100%, I'm not sure he will do all he said he would, but time will tell and at the moment there is no alternative. I hope the Supporter Groups will be vigilant and not be led up the garden path with empty promises.

  7. King Statement THE Scottish FA has today cleared the way for Dave King to become a Director of Rangers International Football Club plc. Mr King said: "I am delighted with today’s announcement from the Scottish FA. I can now turn my attention fully to the task of re-building Rangers. "The Scottish FA’s process has understandably been a long one given their recent negative experience with some of the previous board members, who were tasked with being custodians of the Club. It was essential that I dealt fully with all of the Scottish FA’s questions and provided them with everything they required, no matter how personal, in order to prove that there were no barriers to me joining the Board of Rangers International Football Club plc. "I always maintained I would meet the fit and proper requirements of the Scottish FA once they had examined all the evidence and that is what happened. "I said before that I must be the most scrutinised candidate in Scottish football history but, as I also previously explained, I was happy to accept this given the importance to the Club of having a Board fully comprised of individuals with the Club’s best interests at heart and who are all approved by the Scottish FA. We finally have that, and my colleagues on the Board and I look forward to serving the Club in the years to come. "I thank the Scottish FA for their diligence in this matter and now it is time to look ahead and map out Rangers’ future. However, I will elaborate on that in the coming days because there should be no distractions ahead of tomorrow night’s match at Ibrox. "This first leg of the play-off semi-final is absolutely crucial. I will be going to the match and I urge as many Rangers fans as possible to buy the remaining tickets to ensure a packed Ibrox. Together we can help drive the team forward." Dave King, May 19, 2015.
  8. Hope you're right Frankie. I see Pedro Mendes in the Directors Box yesterday, could we start another thread ?
  9. DICK ADVOCAAT has confirmed he will leave Sunderland at the end of the season – fuelling rumours of a return to Rangers. The Dutchman is on the brink of leading the Wearsiders to EPL safety after a 0-0 draw against Leicester at the weekend leaving them three points ahead of the relegation zone with a game in hand. They play Arsenal on Wednesday night but Advocaat has said it will be his penultimate game in hand. It has been reported he promised his wife he would leave the Stadium of light at the end of this season – despite only joining in March. Now speculation is growing he will come back to Scotland. Advocaat enjoyed four trophy-laden years at Ibrox from 1998 winning two titles, two Scottish Cups and a League Cup. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/dick-advocaat-confirms-leave-sunderland-5716227
  10. I'm not sure our players are capable of playing three important, high pressure games in a week. Hope I am proved wrong.
  11. Just for Gs
  12. Good try
  13. This kind of story was bound to happen it will only escalate as the days go on, whether we go through or not. Rangers are the biggest story in Scotland for the papers. Dave King said a few weeks/months ago, Rangers don't need a conventional Manager [McCall ?], hopefully they are still of the same mind.
  14. I would have thought the question was asked.
  15. "Members of the RST board met with John Gilligan last night to discuss the role of fan groups going forward, future opportunities for investment in the club and a general update on the situation at Rangers. We had a productive meeting and were reassured that the Rangers board are making steady progress towards their objectives of financial security and on field progress. Main points to emerge from the meeting are as follows: 1) The role of fan groups and fan representation remains at the forefront of the board's agenda and will be progressed over the coming weeks and months. A more robust, democratic and meaningful way for fans to engage with the club should emerge from this process - hopefully including a consolidation of existing and legacy groups. 2) Progress on finance and investment has been slowed as the board wait to appoint Dave King. An investment plan will be available prior to the sale of season tickets. 3) Dealing with legacy issues from the old regime has taken up a great deal of time and remains ongoing. Some legalities around these issues have prevented the board from updating fans as regularly as they would have wished but they remain committed to giving fans as much information as they can. They would ask for patience in the meantime and that fans trust that they are doing what is best for the club - something which has not often been the case in the past few years. 4) There will be an opportunity for fans and fan groups to invest in the club in the future and to play an active role in restoring our club to its pre-eminent position in Scottish football. We thank John for his time and remain enthused at the club's prospects under the new board. We will continue to engage with them regularly and update our members accordingly." - See more at: http://www.therst.co.uk/news/rst-meet-with-john-gilligan-2/#sthash.4UHoSMif.dpuf
  16. How much would he cost ?
  17. Rumours that he has passed, anybody heard?
  18. Would like to think the Board are on top of this, but I haven't been convinced with them so far.
  19. Being said that the police were at Ibrox yesterday, any connection ?
  20. Now says DJ, but it originally was Lindsay. Good Article to see in the press.
  21. The investigation is into what happened, not just Ashley. Though there is an interesting thread on FF about Ashley and when he first got involved.
  22. Sky Sports News HQ ‏@SkySportsNewsHQ 49m49 minutes ago BREAKING: Sports Direct confirm their offices were visited by police as part of ongoing investigation into ownership of Rangers #SSNHQ
  23. The Record asks the polis to raid Ashleys Headquarters the week before we play Queen of the South, not sure about that.
