No matter how it's resolved it will cost us.

I'm not sure they could go in with a plan, they have to see what has been done or not done in the last 4 years.

Well done Rangers, makes a nice change to hear from the inside.

But the new board's immediate priority is to make sure Rangers are all right just now. That is why they have arranged a £1.5million interest-free loan from the Three Bears that is not secured on any assets. It is a far better option than accepting another £5m loan from Mike Ashley. This way, the directors don't have to be looking over their shoulder at what Ashley is doing. Nor do they have to accept two of his representatives on the board. We know the club is strapped for cash. We know not a lot can be done until a decision is made on whether Dave King is passed "fit and proper". As soon as that happens, there will be a share issue. There is talk about £10m being raised through investment from King and the Three Bears. I don't think that will be the end of the fund-raising. They will speak to other investors about ploughing money in. There are difficult times ahead. But at least there are people in control now with considerable professional expertise and the best interests of Rangers at heart. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/rangers/rangerscomment/murray-revelations-wont-be-the-last-bombshell-from-the-new-rangers-201581n.121684204

Gael Bigirimana: I knew I was sick BEFORE I left Newcastle for Ibrox
chilledbear replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I am sure it will not be the last barb aimed at those who have held power at the Glasgow giants. The new directors said after they took over at the EGM they would look under the hood to try to find out exactly what had gone on in the past few years. The information unearthed about the five Newcastle United loan signings and the £300,000 cost of the general meeting will not be the final bombshells to be delivered. There is no doubt in my mind that the more they dig the more they will find out. I was stunned when I heard the Newcastle players - only one of whom, Haris Vuckic, has played regularly for the side - had been signed without undergoing medicals. The first thing any club does when they bring in a new player, even if it is a loan deal, is to check they are fit. Rangers are paying part of their wages while they are in Glasgow. So, for the former directors not to insist they underwent the proper procedure, was ridiculous. And not only are Rangers paying for part of their wages, they are also paying the rent on five flats in Glasgow for each of them to live in. And two of them haven't even been up here! But the new board's immediate priority is to make sure Rangers are all right just now. They are in the right, they might tut tut at some things, but will support their own no matter what. We are brought up to think reconciliation, they don't know the meaning of the word. I wonder where that mind-set came from ?

Piss I should have put a with that. -
I'm sure it was done with the best of intentions. Doesn't bode well for all the other 'contracts'they signed. Cash-strapped Rangers are carrying the five Newcastle United loan players sanctioned by Mike Ashley on the Ibrox wage bill – although four are unlikely to kick a ball for the team this season. Stuart McCall confirmed that Rangers make an undisclosed contribution to the salaries of Gael Bigirimana, Shane Ferguson and Kevin Mbabu, who have not played and are not expected to make any appearances. Rangers also part-fund the wages for Remie Streete, who suffered a hamstring injury in his first game, and Haris Vuckic, the only loan player to earn a regular place. Asked why Derek Llambias – the long-standing Ashley associate who remains Rangers’ chief executive, although he is currently suspended – had agreed the deal for five players when only two at most were likely to be available for any length of time, McCall said: “No. I don’t know. “Haris has been certainly good and the more football he gets under his belt the stronger and fitter he will get. Shane has a long-standing knee injury. He had a minor setback, some fluid on his knee that swelled up, so that set him back, but I’ve been out 11 months with a knee injury and it takes you at least six weeks to get anywhere near. “Kevin is training with us, so we might get a bit of football from him and Remi is out for two to three weeks at the moment and he’s had different muscle injuries – a hamstring and a groin – and he’s had an ear infection on top of that. “He’s working with the medical side of it but I don’t think Remi has played lots of football over the past two years, so we didn’t have guys coming in who were hitting the ground running, being ready to play. “Bigirimana has a medical condition that our consultant is dealing with, but he won’t play for us this season.” McCall on Sunday takes Rangers to Easter Road, scene of a 4-0 rout by second-placed Hibernian in December, aware that his players have not taken a single league point from either of the Edinburgh sides this season. Should Rangers lose again, they will trail Hibs by nine points – although with a game in hand – but McCall revealed that he had been inundated with inquiries from agents and players about the possibility of signing deals. “I have already had 40 to 50 names put to me for next season, regardless of what league we are in,” he said. “Players will always want to come and play for Rangers and it won’t be for big bucks. “I will certainly make changes on Sunday and there will be changes made for the Saturday after. I have got to try to find, quickly, enough people that can get the jersey, merit it and keep it. “We just have such a short time span but we still have a focus, so there will be nothing downbeat. Individuals are down because they have not performed – but they still have an opportunity to make this season a success.” http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/rangers/11486762/Rangers-fit-bill-for-loaned-Mike-Ashley-players.html

It's time the Board gave the Supporters some information. There is a vacuum which is being filled by enemies of Rangers. -

I think it is time someone gave an update, after all the support that was given, do not keep the fans in the dark. -

http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/spfl-lower-divisions/rangers-hire-three-new-coaches-in-academy-shake-up-1-3721317 RANGERS have hired Gardner Speirs and Malky Thomson as youth coaches as part of a restructuring of the club’s academy staff. Both were appointed last month – before Dave King’s consortium won control at Ibrox – and have been tasked with overseeing the under-15 and under-13 squads respectively. Craig Mulholland, now in charge of youth operations at Murray Park after Jim Sinclair’s departure late last year, has also drafted in former Hearts striker Andy Kirk. The ex-Northern Ireland cap – most recently with Alloa until the end of last season – is assisting Speirs, who ended a five-year stint in charge of Queen’s Park in 2013. Mulholland feels his experience bringing through young talent such as Andrew Robertson at Queen’s and in previous roles at Ross County and Aberdeen can help Rangers. Thomson has returned to the club having previously worked there under Alex McLeish, who recruited the former Dons youth after being impressed by him when they were both at Hibs. Craig Brewster’s assistant at both Inverness and Dundee United, he has also held the same position at Blackpool and has coached at Birmingham and Celtic.

Even if we get promoted Stuart is only here until the end of the season, at least that's the way I see it. King laid down the way forward and I cannot see them discarding it for Stuart McColl. I wonder if you asked whoever will be coming in, Cathro, Magath or even Neil McCann (see he was in the Directors Box last night), where they would like to be playing while they build a squad, would they prefer to stay in the Championship with 3 transfer windows before taking on SPL teams. Perhaps they would.

Has the courageous Daily Record been duped into running a dodgy front cover story concerning Rangers?
