  1. .... Rangers entering the field of play to? Me - The Blue Sea Of Ibrox. Cammy F
  2. Currently, we are being portrayed, and seen as the BNP, Hezbollah, Al Qaeda of football and have a huge job to turn this perceived image around. However, this is a direct consequence of Dodgy Daveââ?¬â?¢s continued refusal to publicly back us, the Rangers support. For years, many media outlets in this country have openly lied about the actions of Rangers fans. From the supposed riots in Sunderland and Bradford to us cutting our pitch to resemble a sash to the annual criticisms of our kit, sections of the mhedia have shown their agenda ââ?¬â?? to demonise Rangers Football Club and itââ?¬â?¢s supporters. Now, I could go on and on about things that have been printed in certain papers by certain journalists, but I am aware that the Amazon rain-forests are running out of tress and I donââ?¬â?¢t want this blamed on Rangers fansââ?¬Â¦Ã¢â?¬Â¦. Anyway, itââ?¬â?¢s safe to say that we all know the main culprits and their many lies and innuendos. I have to interject here and discuss the UEFA decision and that by not challenging this, David Murray has given our enemies ammunition and by god are they using it to their advantage. The RST rightly said that only through education and not condemnation could we change attitudes, they are right, but it is a pity the media donââ?¬â?¢t see it this way. We are working to eradicate some of the songs and chants that are heard at Ibrox and elsewhere, and after the UEFA decision we were promised that the club would take the lead and inform us what we can sing and how they were going to promote and celebrate our proud history and tradition. Linfield Football Club have, through community work, education and PR positively created an inclusive club which still promotes and celebrates itââ?¬â?¢s loyalist roots. We could learn a thing or two from Linfield. In a recent Sunday rag, they told the journalist all of the above and came out with some good press. Meanwhile, David Murray sits in his office counting our cash whilst allowing everyone and their dog to have a go at us. The latest is the Daily Record and their take on why the Bolton friendly was cancelled. Now, as I have said previously, compare his ââ?¬Ë?dignified silenceââ?¬â?¢ to attacks on US to his fast, strong and legal attacks on anyone who dares question Mr Murray or his suntanned mukka Mr Bain. In all honesty, I am at the stage where I believe that Murrayââ?¬â?¢s malaise has spread to a majority of the support who either donââ?¬â?¢t care what is written about us, or worse, actually believe what is written about us. So, what can we do? That is the $64,000 question. Firstly, we have to openly admit and embrace our past ââ?¬â?? we are a football club who represent the Protestant traditions in Scotland and further afield. This is NOTHING to be ashamed off ââ?¬â?? it should be celebrated. However, we are an inclusive club who welcome fans / players / employees no matter their colour, creed or religion. Secondly, we have to convince our fans that by celebrating our Presbyterianism, this doesnââ?¬â?¢t mean disrespecting other religions. Thirdly, we have to do this publicly whilst fighting our corner in the media. That will require a PR Department that will rapidly respond to any inaccuracies that are published in the media. By doing this, we will show that we mean business and the journalists will be treated with respect, only if they treat us with respect and fairly ââ?¬â?? after all that is all we ask. Can this be achieved? Yes and easily. However, can it be achieved with David Murray at the helm? I seriously think not ââ?¬â?? this is going to get worse before it gets better unless Murray acts and acts swiftly ââ?¬â?? over to you Mr Chairman. Cammy F
  3. Labour MP's (and Tims to boot) stick up for Rangers and the fans - http://www.theherald.co.uk/politics/66323-print.shtml Cammy F
  4. How good does this make you feel . In an interview with Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger he was asked about PLG , he said .,. "If I was a Celtic fan next season I would be afraid....VERY AFRAID" Arsene Wenger How good does that make Rangers fans feel ! Superb stuff

  6. BEGINS There has been some speculation as to the reasons behind the public safety concerns that led to the decision of Greater Manchester Police not to provide policing services at the match between Bolton Wanderers and Glasgow Rangers On Tuesday 25 July. The agreed ticket allocation for Glasgow Rangers was 5,000. However, the club subsequently provided information that Bolton Wanderers should expect 12,000 fans to turn up for this event. A review of intelligence surrounding the event indicated that these numbers may be further swelled by holidaymakers from the Glasgow region attending Bolton on the day from Blackpool. Information provided by Glasgow Rangers indicated that in excess of 120 coach parties would be attending, which were not capable of being received at the Reebok stadium. A normal full Premiership fixture would attract no more than 17 coaches. Given the uncertainty around accurate numbers of supporters attending, and the probability of many thousands of fans without tickets descending upon Bolton, it was not possible to further plan for this event within the margins of public safety that we normally employ. Greater Manchester Police is highly experienced in policing football, having some of the largest teams in the country and the world based here, and our expertise in policing such events safely is outstanding. It is in this context therefore that this decision not to provide policing services was made. ENDS Jackson is looking rather silly now.

http://www.talksport.net/talksport-live.asx Discussing the Rangers v Bolton game - basically backing US up. Worth a listen. Man U fan saying that we were a great support at Old Trafford during the CL game and we are a great bunch of lads.. Cammy F
  8. Just weeks after David Murray promised us (yeah, like we'd believe him) statements that would defend our club and promote our heritage and tradition, we have yet another TWAT in the media attacking our reputation. Recently, Martin Bain was accused of dodgy dealings in a newspaper and David Murray via Rangers, issued a writ 2 hours after the story was run - killing the story stone-dead. How long do we, the fans have to wait for Murray to act? Well, for a man that won't defend DEAD Rangers fans, there isn't much hope of him defending the living is there. Defend US NOW or GET TO FUCK Mr Murray Cammy F
  9. What an opportunity for Mr Murray to get massive respect from us, the fans, by banning The Daily Record and its 'journalists' from Ibrox for the latest sensationalist and inacurate slur against Rangers FC and the fans. Will he take it, not whilst they still put money into his back pocket. Cammy F
  10. Real shame for him, hope he's not out for too long.
  11. A few weeks ago, there was a thread about Still Game and I mentioned an article written by Still Game 'star' Sanjeev Kohli which stated that Rangers fans thro bananas at Mark Walters. Well, I've managed to find the article as a link was posted on FF. Here it is for your information ; http://www.sundayherald.com/print23584 Oh, and this article went unchallenged by Rangers Football Club Cammy F
  12. It appears we're not getting Filip Sebo. "Rangers appear to have missed out on striking target Filip Sebo. Austria Vienna have told BBC Sport that, following a meeting of directors on Tuesday, they have decided to end negotiations with Rangers. "We have told Filip we will not let him go and there will be no transfer to Glasgow Rangers," said a spokesman. The Austrians, who begin their domestic campaign on Tuesday night against Graz AK, say that Rangers failed to meet their valuation of the 22-year-old. Rangers had been warned that Vienna were seeking double the original offer of about £1.2m. It appears that the Ibrox outfit did increase their bid, but Vienna wanted Rangers to meet their valuation before the start of their own league campaign. The coaches know I want to leave and understand my situation Austria Vienna striker Filip Sebo The Vienna spokesman could not say whether the situation would change if Rangers now met their valuation - or did not reach the group stages of the Champions League. "Filip was honoured to be wanted by a club like Rangers, but he is happy to stay," he insisted. It has been reported that Sebo would make a direct plea to the Austrians' general manager to allow him to join Rangers. "I have asked for a meeting with Mr Kraetschmer to tell him I want this sorted out," said Sebo. "The coaches know I want to leave and understand my situation, but it isn't up to them - it's up to the owners." Markus Kraetschmer had told the Sunday Express: "The offer has been improved slightly. But, for me, it is not a very interesting proposal. "Sebo is an important player for us and our main sponsors have already said they want to build a team around him." Ibrox boss Paul Le Guen had turned his attention to Sebo after losing out on Sweden international Johan Elmander, who opted to join Toulouse. Sebo joined Vienna from Artmedia Bratislava last summer and scored 22 goals in his first season as they completed a league and cup double." Didn't realise he was a former Artmedia player...
  13. ... before the impartial and unbiased Scottish media TWATS insinuate that the Bolton game was cancelled due to us big, bad, bigoted Rangers fans 'reputation'? And when this does happen, what will be the response from Rangers Football Club? Cammy F
  14. Greater Manchester Poilce have CANCELLED the Rangers V Bolton friendly..... Un-feckin-believeable Cammy F
  15. Fair play to the guy. Was given the chance to impress and by all accounts has grabbed the chance to play for Rangers with both hands. Welcome aboard Makhtar Think he will take over from Waterreus in the most crazy spelling of his name stakes?....
  16. Never heard of him, we definately need a striker, but there are more important gaps in the team to fill at the moment IMO.

  18. I have to say he has waited too long to do this, but I'm glad he's trying to get help. "Troubled Rangers defender Fernando Ricksen has been referred to Tony Adams' Sporting Chance Clinic after being sent home from South Africa. The Dutchman was disciplined by new manager Paul Le Guen for "inappropriate behaviour" on the outbound flight. And Ricksen said: "I have met people who I feel can support me through this difficult stage and feel I can benefit from their counsel." The clinic helps tackle alcoholism, drug abuse, gambling and depression. "
  19. 0-0 but the dc united fans are chanting "we love the rangers" which i thought was nice and ADU is taking the piss out of this celtic defence:thup: 1-0 dc *adu scored*
  20. Veteran Hagen heads for Bo'ness Veteran defender David Hagen has left Second Division Peterhead to join junior outfit Bo'ness United. The 33-year-old, who had been converted from a winger, had struggled with injury during his two-year spell at Balmoor Stadium. He had been asked to prove his fitness this summer before being offered a new contract by manager Iain Stewart. But a club statement said: "Both player and club have now decided it would be best for him to move on." Hagen - who began his career with Rangers before moving on to Hearts, Falkirk and Livingston - had joined Peterhead from Clyde.
  21. Tough one, still don't know where half of the players play, let alone which foot they prefer so here we go nevertheless: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/r/rangers/squad_selector/default.stm Letizi Hutton Rodriguez Svensson Smith Clement Ferguson Buffel Sionko Boyd Prso
  22. Firstly, congratulations to Rino on becoming a World Cup winner, the wee man had a very decent campaign and I am delighted for him. However, I reviewed todayââ?¬â?¢s Scottish media fully expecting (tongue firmly implanted in cheek) full page spreads, colour pull-outs etc dedicated to Rino as an ex-star of the Scottish game. I fully expected Graeme Speirs to be eulogising about Rino;s thighs in a Larsson-esque gay fantasy article. Well, to my surprise, Rinoââ?¬â?¢s affiliation to Rangers and the Scottish game hardly merited a mention ââ?¬â?? now, compare and contrast to the attention given to larsson after the CL final and in the build up to the Sweden v England game. As I posted the other week, maybe Rinoââ?¬â?¢s refusal to swap jerseys with a Craptic player or his comments that Craptic fans, resplendent in their crucifixes used to bore him to death with talk of religion during his stay in Glasgow hasnââ?¬â?¢t gone down too well with the TWATS (Tims With A Typewriter). Cammy F
  23. http://www.rangers.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/NewsDetail/0,,5~866433,00.html 2 early goals vs Jomo Select. Didn't even realise there was a game tonight...
