Weiss officially signs - one year loan

A really good acquisition for us - but because of his age I fear Walter benching him all the time and not deploying him.

Truth is this is the kind of quality we need for the CL, I just hope he features. Another Aaron would do my head in.

I just can't fathom where he's going to play

He's a playmaker who can play (less effectively) as a right winger. We already have one of those. Plus who is going to play on the left? Another season of Lafferty out there?

The guy's a left winger, that's where he'll play surely.

I was reading an article yesterday from a City coach and he definately stated that is right footed, so he's certainly not an out and out left winger anyway

Most of the clips are of him on the wing. Most wingers are flexible enough to play either side.

Well all know Walter likes to play them on the opposite side from where they're used to...

Not just Walter to be fair. Many teams are deploying right footed players on the left wing and vice versa. It allows them to cut inside and be a goal threat - but there is still also the danger the go on the outside.

With someone like Weiss, if he really is pacy, a defender cant just try to show him to the outside with a "he will have to cross with his left foot which is cack" attitude - his pace could get him in behind and back onto his right foot.

Joe Cole is right footed but plays on the left, and effectively so for the most part.
