Takeover latest: Ellis & Whyte in Scotland for MIH talks

Recommended Posts

Not surprisingly for a private equity player, it doesn't take much looking before Liberty Capital emerges with significant links to property ventures, including quite a number in Glasgow - Braehead Investments, etc, etc, etc.

For those with the means to do so, check out David Andrew Fischel.

RE: Braehead: that was Liberty International Holdings though; apparently coincidental?

Running in tandem is I believe the buzz expression, get a name as near to a reputable and successful company as you can, whyte has nothing to do with Braehead or the company that owns it, a SA company.

Don't be so gullible. I didn't say LC owned Braehead ... But there are plenty of evidence linking Craig Whyte to it. I already gave you one of the names. The point is that Craig Whyte has not shortage of connections to major Glasgow property deals, which may explain why Ellis is still connected to Rangers.

£1 to a penny you can't name one deal whyte has been involved in. As for his castle, my hoose was valued at £700k, I wouldn't say it was exactly baronial.
