Rangers v Malmo or Torshavn

Recommended Posts

Think it was one of the better draws we could have hoped for. To be honest we shouldn't be fearing anyone in the champions section qualifying rounds and hopefully with this early start to the season we will be better prepared than in previous years.

With an equity of 78 million SEK (approximately €8.8 million) the club are the richest football club in Sweden as of 2011.[7]

Currently playing in Allsvenskan, where the season lasts from April to October, the club are the reigning champions. The club first won Allsvenskan in 1944.[8] Malm¶ FF were most successful during the 1970s, when they won five Swedish championships and four Svenska Cupen titles. The main rivals of the club are Helsingborgs IF, IFK G¶teborg and historically IFK Malm¶.[9] MFF Support is the official fan club of Malm¶ FF.[10] The club have also been featured in the media, including the football documentaries Bl¥d¥rar 1 and Bl¥d¥rar 2.

Quite honestly if we cannot beat the champions of a very poor league then we don't deserve to participate in the CL anyway.

It won't be a walkover, and we should treat them with respect, but the Swedish league is somewhere between the SPL and the first division in quality, with no teams close to the quality of Rangers or Celtic.

That all said, the might of Torshavn from the Faroe Islands could well come back in the second leg...

The Malmo fans could be saying the same about our league.
