Smith consortium withdrawing bid ??!

Recommended Posts

You won't follow Rangers whatever division? It's out of Green or anyone else's hands anyway.

I never said that. I don't think many supporters will pay £420+ to watch us play in div3 do you? Our top players will be away and it won't be pretty to watch for years to come.

Stop making yourself out to be some sort of outsider, if you aren't following Rangers anymore you wouldn't still be on Rangers forums.

There are quite a few on here who said they wouldn't follow a newco; wonder how long that will last?

I might be in a minority of one, but I think Smith's group are tactically withdrawing to increase pressure on Mr Green. Seems like a risky strategy to me, mind you, and frankly an unnecessary one. I suppose it depends on whether Charles & Co. were quoting pie-in-the-sky figures and weren't showing any sign of getting real anytime soon.

could be. risky though with other bidders circling.

green says he can run us. says he's the best we've had. says he's got the cash and will get more. its perfectly possible they think he deserves a chance.

if nothing else I think it would be better for the club if we take them at face value and say that's it. no more division.

I suppose, ultimately, you the ticket value has to reflect where you want to be rather than where you are.

If people can afford it then i'd expect them to pay, yes.

Will be a poor show if they don't.

If there was a button for 'qualified agree' I would have clicked it.
