Charles Green meeting yesterday

Recommended Posts

Since when have the SFA or the SPL paid any attention to the rules? They could have just refused us entry if they wanted and to suggest that Green had much option other than to give into the blackmail demands is naive.

I believe they the sfa/spl and their brief paid attention to the rules or lack of them when the Judge ordered them to, sadly for us Green capitulated even with the support of the court, strange decision.

expulsion was never going to happen. a scottish cup suspension was most likely.

Still playing Russian Roulette with our future. What if they DID expel us ? It WAS an option and it was one which Green absolutely couldnt afford to happen, even if it was unlikely.

"Most likely" is hardly a definitive term when you are looking at the very existence of the club as part of the equation.

I dont think I would have done much differently to Green if the best I had was that a Scottish Cup suspension was "most likely".

our future was never in doubt. they wouldnt have. expulsion for us would have been suicide for scottish football.

i am sure a better lawyer could have done better than my "most likely".

Pretty much where I am, the conditions were not ideal by any means but none detrimental. Transfer ban starting right away may have been but we got time to build up a squad able to handle these lower divisions for 18 months.

The court told them they could expell us instead if they wanted, so long as it was in their written rules.

That particular punishment ruled unlawful but it's deluded to talk like the court was supporting us somehow.

So there we leave it, you think expulsion was a possibility I don't.

Who did the court support ? what was the idea of going to court a day out ?

But it was a possibility, however much you think it wouldn't have happened the chance was there and the desire throughout Scottish Football was there given the hatred of our club.

The court told the panel to decide on another punishment, what that would have been we never found out. Then all our power went when HMRC said no.

You have absolutely NO IDEA that your assertion is true. None whatsoever. Half the SPL clubs came out and said they were potentially looking at an administration event themselves if we were voted out of the SPL. Yet the turkeys DID vote for Christmas.

You simply CANNOT say with certainty that our future was never in doubt.

Our demotion could still prove to be suicide for the SPL... but they still voted for it.

Were we not ALL watching in amazement at how this was all playing out over the summer months and shaking our heads in collective disbelief that we were being pushed as low as they could possibly push us ?

And you still can sit here believing that our future wasnt in doubt ? You are a far more confident person than I am because I distinctly recall many fans from pretty much all clubs wanted exactly that... and their chairmen (in the SPL at least) were listening to the lowest common denominator.

I have nowhere near the same confidence you have that we wouldnt have been expelled.
