Charles Green meeting yesterday

Recommended Posts

Suppose it's in our Scottish and Glaswegian nature not to stand and let some fooker continually put the boot in, hit first and ask questions later is the norm for us. I'm just itching to start fighting back, but Charles just needs to get the fighting business started or stop winding us up for a square go.

he's probably promised it at one of his sales pitches.

I'm sorry buts entirely factual to say that ever couple of weeks we see one of these threads while much of what was mooted at the previous on remains unfulfilled.

Maybe some things take a bit of time, some things he said are just being looked and and thought about as said by himself.

He's not promised anything outlandish like casinos and all the crucial points like stabilising the club, no redundancies, talking to the supporters groups, reasonable ticket prices, having Ally McCoist as his manager etc has been true.

if you can refute my assertion have at it. if not why comment.

You made an assertion and didn't give any details. I'm not a mind reader as what you're referring.

Why comment? Because every time Green gets mentioned you make a negative comment and it gets tiresome. We get the fact that you don't like him.The constant negativity gets very wearing.

Green gets mentioned. GS makes a negaive comment, no matter what. Repeat 100s of times.

You come across as taking satisfaction if you are able to suggest that he might not have been 100% clear in what he's saying, and never give him any lattitude as to the context he says it in. There's many times that you jump to assumptions and it would be a fulltime job to show how you may be wrong or often why you actually are wrong.

Plans change and situations evolve but you don't allow for that. Timetables change or aren't given but you expect everything to be done immediately or they are a "moonbeam". You just revel in the fact that something he says that he hopes to achieve hasn't yet come to fruition.

Off topic bluedell but I know you're in the directors box (or near it forget which).

Going by a willie vass picture there seemed to be a couple of random guys in the back row of the box, Green actually seemed to be sitting in the second row since all the seats in his usual bit were taken up.

Any ideas who they were? :D

I'm not sure i understand your point.

As for Adidas, he admitted to advance negotiations with them and a couple of other kit manufacturers. If we don't go with them would that be a broken promise, or just the result of a negotiation process where a business decision is taken?

You are forgetting Charles Green is supposed to run every business decision by GS for approval first.

Are you talking about this photo?

The guys in the back row to the right of Green as we are looking at it are Sandy Jardine and Andrew Dickson. The guy on the left with his head turned looks like Brian Stockbridge, but can't say for sure.

I sit to the other side of the directors box so don't always get a good view of who's sitting on that side.

I know Dickson and Jardine, in the pictures it's usually them and Green sitting together, hence why it caught my attention.

yeah he was begging for lattitude when he said we will sign with adidas next week.

green opening his mouth and letting his belly rumble is also wearying. if he let's up I will as well.

better still perhaps some of what he says will start coming true.

as I have often said I don't believe its malicious he's just a patter merchant.

Longmuir's on the bottom left clasping his hands. The lad beside Green is his son Oliver.
