Ally McCoist confirms signing talks with Nicky Clark

Recommended Posts

BTW, one report noted this, which I didn't knew before ...

Can we send Hutton and Gallagher out on loan?

Neither are going to bring anything to the club in the long term, we would be better served getting rid of both, for good.

Seems Clark was a midfielder playing out of position last season... So would some on here prefer him moved back to right midfield? :fish:

McCoist is gonna play him out of position anyway, so what difference does it make....

You mean we're going to play him as a goalie? ;)

But your reply kind of sums up the nature of the perpetual complaint. No matter where you play someone, people will complain they are out of position...

The boy himself has claimed he has only played one year as a striker so it would be a bit stupid of anyone to complain if Ally chose to put him back where he grew up playing, which i doubt he will. You don't sign a 40 goal a season hitman and stick him in midfield, or do we?

EXCLUSIVE: Polish club make bid to steal Nicky Clark from Rangers

POLISH side Jagiellonia Bialystok have tried to hijack Rangers’ bid to land Scotland’s top goalscorer Nicky Clark.

The Poles made their move yesterday, and want the Queen of South striker, who netted 41 goals over the season, to travel out for a medical over the next 24 hours.

The Second Division player of the year only learned of Jagiellonia’s interest last night when he returned from an end-of-season trip to Magaluf in Majorca with his Queens team-mates.

Interest in the red-hot 21-year-old is intensifying

Bialystok – who are building a new 22,500-seater stadium – are currently mid-table in the Polish top flight. They played in the Europa League two seasons ago.

The Poles, who made direct contact with Clark’s representative yesterday, are in a good position financially and can offer more than most SPL clubs outside of Celtic.

Interest in the red-hot 21-year-old is intensifying with Sheffield United, Derby County, Shrewsbury Town, Tranmere and Motherwell all interested.

Express Sport revealed last week that Rangers had also declared their interest.

Clark has still to hold talks with Ibrox manager Ally McCoist, who last week admitted he is keen on the player.

The former Aberdeen youngster is unlikely to make a decision on his next move until after talking to Rangers.
